.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) is the Director of Birthright Israel NEXT Los Angeles. Heather's involvement within the Jewish communtiy began at birth. After being a dedicated USYer, an educator at a religious school and involved in her campus Hillel, she decided to pursue a career in the Jewish world. She worked at the University of Arizona Hillel Foundation as the Special Projects Coordinator and later left Arizona for Los Angeles. Her most current position was with MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger as the Marketing Manager. Heather is a student at Loyola Marymount University’s part-time MBA program and will complete her degree in May 2010. Along with getting her masters, she is the President of the MBA Student Association and is involved in a local Toastmasters club. She has also been involved with the Progressive Jewish Alliance as a Jeremiah Fellow and ATID in Los Angeles.

Heather graduated from the University of Arizona with a dual B.A. in Journalism and Communication. In her spare time, she enjoys a good book (textbooks not included), wine tasting, and spending time with her husband. Heather is thrilled to be a part of the Birthright Israel NEXT team and is looking forward to doing innovative and collaborative work in Los Angeles!

After graduating NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) moved back to his native LA to work in the film industry. When he heard about the genocide in Darfur, he quit his job and found employment with Jewish World Watch, the only grassroots Jewish organization working to end genocide and other conflicts around the world.

.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) recently relocated from San Francisco to Los Angeles after completing an MFA in Creative Writing. Here she teaching English at National University, composes poetry and literary criticism, and belongs to the Birthright Israel Next LA family as an Administrative Assistant.

.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) graduated summa cum laude with honors from Drexel University in 2006. Since going on her Taglit-Birthright Israel trip in August 2008, Ally has become greatly involved in the Jewish community through volunteering with Birthright Israel NEXT's Social Action Crew and attending events with JConnectLA, GesherCityLA and The W Group.

.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)'s commitment to the Jewish community started early in her days as a leader in BBYO and NFTY in Houston, TX. Following her graduation from New York University, Rebecca worked for two years at the URJ. She recently completed a summer at Camp Hess Kramer in Malibu as the Office Manager/Parent Liaison, and is thrilled to work with Birthright Israel NEXT Los Angeles.

.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) is thrilled to be involved in the Los Angeles Jewish community as the newest Birthright Israel NEXT fellow. Born and raised in South Florida, Paul is a graduate of Lafayette College and Carnegie Mellon University. Following school, Paul moved west to pursue documentary film and completed his first feature in 2008 - now airing on PBS. He cites his stellar experience traveling to Israel with his sister in summer 2008 as primary motivation for joining the Birthright fellowship.
