On Thursday, the Southern California chapter of the American Society for Public Administration ("ASPA"), the umbrella body for public and non-profit administrators who are engaged in public service, conferred their 2013 awards.
Community Advocates ("CAI") was fortunate in being recognized for its contribution to the improved inter-group climate in our region. Community Advocates' long time board member and president of the County Museum of Natural History, Dr. Jane Pisano, bestowed the awards on Community Advocates' principals---David A. Lehrer and Joe R. Hicks.
Lehrer and Hicks accepted the award and expressed the organization's gratitude to ASPA for recognizing the CAI message that is unusual in the world of human and inter-group relations.
