Maccabeats flinging their latkes at the White House


After a successful Hanukkah and Purim, the Maccabeats have really hit the big time. Seriously.

As the above video shows, the Jewish a cappella group was invited to the White House to help celebrate Jewish American heritage. The Houston Chronicle religion blog has a little on the gathering and this earlier quote for the Maccabeats’ Houston local, Noah Jacobson:

“I think in some way we were given an opportunity to do something and affect people in a deeply spiritual way,” Jacobson told me in an interview after the group’s wildly successful Hanukkah hit.
