November 18, 2008 Late to the party: How Obama got the Jewish vote |
|
I’m frankly a bit surprised. Politico has been absolutely amazing during the past 20 months. But yesterday—13 days after Barack Obama won the presidential election and bragged “What Jewish problem?” and after Philip Weiss and Omri Ceren and Jeffrey Goldberg all discussed why on this blog—David Paul Kuhn editorialized about why Obama fared better with the Jews than had been feared. I could understand the delay if Kuhn had uncovered some shocking ZOG conspiracy about how Obama ended up with 78 percent of the Jewish vote, but the column essentially parrots what has been said for the past two weeks. In short, Obama never had a Jewish problem, though many Jews remained undecided until Election Day when they returned to the party of the majority of their people; Sarah Palin and a bad economy helped. |
