Worshipping Allah at the Jesus Christ Mosque

In Israel, Jesus Christ had his tomb. On Broadway, his play. And now in Jordan, God’s son has his own mosque:

A mosque named after the central figure of Christianity is the latest milestone of interfaith coexistence in Jordan.

Both Muslim and Christian leaders expressed delight when the Jesus Christ Mosque opened a few months ago in the tranquil town of Madaba, 30 km south of the capital, Amman.

‘This is a message to the world that Muslims consider Jesus Christ their own messenger because he informed humanity beforehand that the Prophet Mohamed was coming,’ the mosque’s prayer leader, Belal Hanini, told DPA.

‘It also proves that Islam is a religion of tolerance and has nothing to do with extremism,’ he said.

Not really sure how naming a mosque after a figure whom Muslims consider their own prophet “proves” anything. But it’s still kind of interesting.

I wouldn’t get that excited. The Moslems have also reverse-engineered Moses, Abraham and Adam into being Moslims. Maybe we can start to see world peace when they name some mosques after Menahem Begin and Meir Kahane.

Surely you are not equating the racist disgrace Kahane with Avraham Avinu (Ibrahim) PBUH, or Moshe Rabbenu (Musa) PBUH.

No, it just makes me knowledgable. I recently came across what was described as the ‘Kahane Principle’. “Since there is no possibility of defeating this guy in an intellectual battle of the wits… besmirch and ostracize.”

Kahane PBUH is the Jew that it is permissible for Jews uncomfortable with being Jews to hate. Unfortunately for you, Kahane left behind a large body of writings and may even be seen on several videos recorded before the days of camera phones and YouTube, and I invite you to prove your allegation that Kahane was a racist OR a disgrace. Piece o’ cake.

I would say that those who actually know what Kahane said and did and call Kahane those things are themselves bigots and disgraces. In my usual Christlike manner in response to your conditional insult I am not calling you a bigot or a disgrace because it is evident you don’t actually know anything about Kahane other than what you have heard from the bigots and disgraces.
