‘Hulk’: Jewish peacenik transforms into raging right-winger

I saw “The Incredible Hulk” last night. It was good, not great, but you don’t need me to tell you it was a lot better than this “Hulk.” There is no mention in the movie of Bruce Banner’s religious beliefs. But Banner does attempt to control his rage with meditation, so let’s imagine he is a progressive Jew. Eli Valley at Jewcy did so, and the above comic shows how “a remark that could be construed as mildly critical of Israel” transforms the liberal Banner into a raging right-winger.

That comment could applied to a large percentage of entries in the LAJJ

Typical. Nothing exemplifies the message of that cartoon better than your reaction to it. Forget about Israel. Even the slightest criticism of Jews or Jewish culture is enough to send you into apopalectic fits accompanied by the usual whining of the perennial victim. However it is appropriate that Foghorn Leghorn over here would be the first to piss & moan.

Interesting bias you display here yourself. I consider my reactions to be measured, fair and appropriate. NPR and PRI, the BBC and Reuters, the liberal media (most of it) reek of bias, and betray every principle of journalistic integrity. Pacifica rises to the level of a source of propaganda and incitement to hatred.

Thos cartoon could as easily be captioned to illusrate an ordinary nominally Jewish slob (someone like you) turning into a deranged psychopath (as you do) on hearing about a Kahanist, settler or Chareidi, or even the Rabbanut.

Speaking of autistism (on another post, an approbation regarding yourself that you stole from me incidentally), your characterization of me fits that definition. I never really displayed much of a damn about Jewish culture (I like much of it but my taste is diverse). Nor whining in victimhood. That is something you got from your internal stereotype.

Your internal emotional map includes antisemitism. Jews are victims! But armed and dangerous Kahanists are no good. Jews in the diaspora have no say! But settlers are illegitamate. Chareidim are draft dodgers! But the Hesder Yeshivot and Nachal Chareidi should be disbanded. The religious don’t participate in the State! But the right wing and religious parties are out of line working for their constituencies, and all democratic processes must be denied to those opposing the Oslo (Disengagement, land givaways, denial of Jewish rights in selected areas) agenda.

Ah well, we go in circles. It is unrewarding to continually show you up as clueless and a hypocrite since responsible awareness and integrity are below your radar.

If by; “working for their constituencies” you mean inciting violence against other constituencies that you percieve to be detrimental to your interests, then yes, you’re out of line.

No. All democratic processes must be denied to those who do not respect the basic precepts of democracy. If you choose to deny the will of the majority by means of incitement and violent behaviour, then you will be politically neutered by the powers that be.

Since the majority of Charedim are draft dodgers, thats an accurate statement. To those who are the exception to the rule; “you lie down with dogs, you pick up fleas”. Since it is possible to be a Torah Jew and not be a draft dodger, it would be in their intersts to disassociate themselves.

Conceptually, I agree with General Stern, however I’m not married to the idea. If the only way we can get a bunch of freeloaders to pull their weight is through such devices as; “Hesder Yeshivot and Nachal Chareidi” , than so be it.

Lets say for the moment, thats true. So your counter to that is wallowing in victimhood, crying “woe is me” while cynically fishing for sympathy from secular jews and gentiles? Since you refuse to cop to the crimes that you are guilty of, it should come as no surprise that crimes that you are not guilty of will be attributed to you nonetheless.

I suggest you change your handle to ‘Non-Sequiteur’ - you have outdone yourself in expressing disconnected ideas like an old vaudeville comedian.

Those statements and ‘buts’ are constructed to point up your hyprocricy. They all follow this form: Granting for arguments sake the first proposition, you don’t grant it for religious Jews. Check it out. All of your disconnected responses therefore make no sense.

But for one or two specific points, there are more secular draft dodgers in Israel and for fraudulent reasons, than there are Chareidim opting out of military duty on the straight basis of Torah study. I will prove it back in the forum, something I did not do earlier because it is so tedious to prove the obviuous in the face of irrational denial.

For another point, noting that the typical media is not objective with regard to Israel is not wallowing in victimhood, it is a legitimate observation and advocacy having nothing to do with sympathy but integrity and justice. The establishent of alternative media such as Arutz Sheva and media watchdog groups such as CAMERA and SecondDraft is a non-victimhood response which is neverthless widely disparaged including in the LAJJ. My reason to include it is because it forms a central thesis in the comic strip above.

Ridiculous. Arutz Sheva et al, are manifestations of your victimhood complex, not counters to your percieved oppressors.

This is a lie, not supported by per-capita percentages in regards to the repective demographic groups in question. Go crunch the numbers again, wictor. Maybe this time, you can arrange things as to find yourself in an IDF uniform,wink

It is not. The central thesis is the child-like, knee-jerk responses on the part of the majority of superficial, narrow-minded, nitwits that comprise American Jewry. However it doesn’t surprise me that you would characterize; “...the farmers could not reach their olive groves” as being subjective. Unfortunately, this sort of thing has become an all to frequent occurence in the territories. It’s a well documented fact(thanks to B’tselem, now on film) that various groups of American-Jewish Kahanists, along with their orange shirted miscreant offspring, are running around the territories with ski masks(despite such lame attempts at disguise, I have it on good authority, that the identities of these “men” are known to the Shabak) beating up old men and children. Though characteristic of orthodox American Yids in general, your claim of bias and victimization, along with your inabilty to effect change in Israel or in the territories in any substantive way other than perpertrating violence against the elderly and school children, is simply a function of the shtetl-like cowardice and racism that is an inherent part of the settler movement and its theo-facist ideology.

The central thesis I refer to is media bias, any way you take it. The bias is founded upon facts and assumptions, any way you take that.

It is close to Shabbat, and it will take some work to puree and spoonfeed you the figures in a way that the Doctor can explain them to you so you can stop embarrassing yourself.

Of course it will take some work. Lying and fabricating is never an easy task. Here let me make it simple for you. I consider the numbers given by the head of the IDF’s manpower division to be credible. The number crunching of a shtetl jew from Fresh Meadows holds no great interest for me or anyone else. I think your idea of regaling the denizens of the forum with your jailhouse intellect is an excellent one. I’m sure you’ll recieve a warm reception from the Wack Pack. Give my regards.

Since your didactic drivel serves no purpose other than validating your own life long string of failure and dysfunction, and that of an ever diminishing circle of fellow travellers, half-wits, and emotionally disturbed sycophants, you consistently expose the disingenuity of your conniptions.

But no worries. I’m sure if you employ your usual aptituded in lifting facts and figures from their respective contexts and then shoehorning and twisting them them to support some specious and self-serving supposition, you should have no problem presenting a set of numbers that will validate 60 years of sloth, cowardice, and fraud perpertrated by the haredi community upon the gov’t, the national army, and the people of the state of Israel.
