Tennis star in Playboy reveals Jesus fish tattoo

Daniel Radosh, author of “Rapture Ready!”, has the skinny on tennis player Ashley Harkleroad, who made headlines recently, not for her play on the court but her agreement to pose for Playboy. She has, and Radosh spotted an odd inking in one of the photos.

It’s a tattoo of the Jesus fish, just above her waistline, and I sure hope this is a first for the magazine.

“In the word-things that accompany the pictures,” Radosh writes on his blog. “Ashley says she got the tat when she was younger, but stands by it. ‘I still believe in God, but God made female athletes beautiful and sexy, and I want to represent that.’”

Oh brother. And I thought putting the Ichthys on your bumper was bad because, as Ben Folds sharply sang, “See that a—hole with the peace sign on his license plate/ Giving me the finger and running me out of his lane.” God is definitely not happy.

We’ll have to take her word that female athletes are beautiful and sexy - the photo doesn’t show much.  It’s like the uproar over Abercrombie and Fitch’s male model.  Just because Christians jump on this sort of cause doesn’t make it worthy of our efforts.  There are a lot more important things to rail against, like porn addiction.  I think all these protests are simply Christians trying to please God rather than actually letting Him move and speak through them.  Righteousness doesn’t produce relationship; relationship produces righteousness.

I know what you mean, but relationship is kind of an open ended thing. So it’s kind of a two way street.

Or at least Plan B.

Or, it’s better to do the right thing for the wrong reason than the wrong thing for the right reason. While you’re waiting for inspiration. Sorry to be such a Pharisee.

Star Tattoo
Of course the most notable aspect of a star is the light that it exudes. Many are the examples of churches, caverns, and even tombs with stars painted on the ceilings. Their place in the dark night SKY as symbols of heavenly beauty is also the source for their associations with hopes, dreams, and inspiration. They are also sometimes associated with the souls of those who have died and they figure in many ancient cultures and religions as omens of great import. The star in tattoo is done in many different styles and can be a straightforward five-pointed star with radiating beams of light or something more abstract, as if seen through rippled glass. But bright yellow light is almost always one aspect of the design.

Hai,
This girl has a star tattoo that shows a trail of stars starting near her back, running down her side and then going around her hip and down towards her private parts. Now, I’m not a smart man but I don’t need to follow no tattoo to find that area on a woman.

I think that is just beautiful, regardless of the attention that it may have received. I don’t buy Playboy often, but I would consider buying this one. Who won the superbowl.

Well at least she’s religious. But does this mean she’s a sinner because she’s showing her body naked? Adam and Eve were naked, so why does it have to be wrong to be naked on Playboy?
