You “don’t read as much of an admission,” because you don’t know the beliefs, writings, and history of the Church of Scientology, with its 160 front groups.

Those of us who do, recognize the Xenu story, when Nathan Baca begins reading from a book in Hubbard own handwriting, that begins “75 million years ago…” and Tommy Davis, spokesman for Scientology, interrupts. It is their “sacred scripture” members must pay $200,000 to hear. (And they have to be brainwashed to believe it.)

It would be difficult for a Jewish person to relate their religion to Scientology, since Scientology is a business scam, cloaked as a religion for tax purposes, and it is predicated on the method of getting members to believe ANYTHING—practically—by using a form of command hypnosis.

They are less than 60 years old, and it is all based on the rantings of L. Ron Hubbard, a sci fi writer, who among other things, claims he was almost hit by a train on Venus, and that all other religions are false mind “implants.” Scientology has no scholarship or theology, just a lot of money from their scam.

Their present leader, David Miscavige, is a high school dropout. They are run in a totalitarian manner and attack critics.

True to form, the newfag anon says everything is negative, and the scilon simply lied.  Et plus ca change.

Scientologists are usually nice people: until they reach a certain level.  Most of them would be shocked to find forced child labour, stalking, and co-erced abortions as the official policy of their church.

Having done OT3 I can tell you this is the South Park story is pretty much correct minus the animation. South Park is pretty much right EXCEPT they kept saying the word thetan wrong. They used the English pronunciation.

I am not using my real name here because of all of the other crap that Scientology is KNOWN for. I don’t want my garbage taken from my home on trash night so they can sift through it to find my ‘Crimes” that they can then use against me and harass me. Google Paulette Cooper if you want more back story.

As a Jew and a Scientologist I really object to this coverage.  First of all, Davis never either confirmed or denied a thing. He simply stopped Baca (the interviewer), said he knew what he was referring to and took exception to this attempts to discuss, attack or denigrate the esoteric teachings of Scientology.  Why on Earth would Jews contribute to or participate in religious intolerance.  It is not only inappropriate from a cultural and historical perspective to permit an entire religious group to be attacked based on their religion, it is also contrary to the teachings of the Talmud.

Anonib (above), you rule! Jeanne the Scientologist, you may be a Jew by heritage and early culture, but if you are now a Scientologist, you are no longer of the Jewish faith.

The beliefs of Scientology include;

a) that L.Ron Hubbard is sole source of the only workable “technology” that can offer any salvation for Mankind.

This means that any and all other philosophies, religions, spiritual writers, thinkers etc are to be banned utterly from the thought processes or access to the active lives of Scientologists who wish to remain in good standing. Scientologists may not meditate, study other spiritual authors to practice their beliefs, be active in any other religion’s practices or think in any other way than that regimented by the “tech, policy and advices” written by L.Ron Hubbard. Period.

b) that ANY other writing than L.Ron Hubbard’s is void of value, workability or truthfulness.

Hubbard says this about other religions:

“I wonder what these people [of other religions] are all worshiping? It can’t be God…”
“Religion is always different than truth. It has to be, BECAUSE THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN CONTROL PEOPLE IS TO LIE TO THEM…”
“Organized religion tries to control, so therefore it must be lying.” - L. Ron Hubbard, Lecture 25 June 1952: Technique 88: “Overt Acts, Motivators & DEDs”

Therefore, Jeanne, you need to decide whether you are a Scientologist or a Jew. You can’t be both.

Jews have participated in religious intolerance since the Old Testament. The bible more or less describes the nation of Israel fighting wars in defense of its national god against the false gods of other nations. The Jews are many things, completely tolerant is not one of them. Look at the dialogue between sects, between chassidic dynasties. Why on Earth would Jews contribute to religious intolerance? Just because you’ve been subjected to it for 2000 years does not mean you are not susceptible to propagating it. Judaism does not teach that Jews are infallible.

In addition, why would a Jew participate in Scientology? The worship of other gods or celestial beings (i.e. Xenu) is strictly prohibited by the scripture. Scientology is a closed religious system, it has no accessibility to scriptures and the doors can only be pried open by money. Judaism has not functioned this way since the fall of the Priestly sect.

I was in Scientology for 22 years and did OT 5.  Yes the Xenu story is very true but that’s all it is a story made up by Hubbard.  You gain nothing my doing these “OT” levels that get more costly as you move up.  It will cost you at least $300,000 to go to the top and when you get there you realize it’s all a scam, just a very big con game.

Scientologists (including Tommy Davis) tend to confuse questioning and criticism with bigotry and intolerance. It is not bigoted, nor intolerant, to ask questions, to doubt something another religion teaches, to disagree or to state that it is untrue. None of those things disrespects the individuals who practise that other religion. Questions, doubts and criticism are all part of being in a healthy discourse and helping us all avoid veering off into unhealthy thinking.

Jeanne, you understate Tommy Davis’s admission. As Nathan Baca read from the document which mentions the Xenu story, Tommy Davis said, “I know what you’re talking about. Not only did Davis confirm the ‘Xenu myth’ by saying he recognized the materials and citing them as confidential; in the CNN interview he did last year, he outright DENIES IT, saying that he ‘didn’t recognize it’ from the OTlll. Sarah, I can be and am a Jew and a Scientologist.  It does not conflict.  Having studied both, I know that to be a fact. 

A Watcher, I watched the whole Davis interview so I don’t know what YOU watched is this is what you came away with.

But most fundamental of all, I am proud of the fact that so many free thinkers and iconoclasts have been Jewish and that we Jews are so visible in the field of human and civil rights, and it is my belief in these that make me so adamant about being a Scientologist as well.

Jeanne, you must be studying extra hard in your Communication courses to not only miss Davis saying “I know what you’re talking about. I’m familiar with the material. I think what you’re getting at is the confidential scriptures of the Church,” but to also miss Max (7:56PM) pointing you to the quotation of the transcript. It’s there in black and white, and no matter how much you try to change MEST, the simple fact remains:

What is true is NOT what is true for you. You get your own opinion, you don’t get your own version of reality.

Judaism is completely incompatible with Scientology as Judaism first and foremost says “Thou shalt have no other gods but me” but Scientology is straight up a belief structure built around the concept that YOU are a “god” who’s potential is waiting to be unlocked.

It is clear that Baca’s edited version of the interview was slanted. You all could watch the full 43 minute interview on utube. Let Scientologist be who they choose to be. Let them live free of hate or ridicule. These type of attacks only lead to violence, as witnessed by what has already occurred. If any of what anonymous claims to be true is true then it belongs in a court of law. Lets all grow up and remember that to each his own. This is simply mob mentality at work and nothing good can come of it.

but as for criticism, most of it appears to be aimed at the people who run the organization, not the average member.  the same is true of organizations like the catholic church of rome.  if they’re not above criticism, then neither is Scientology.

Jeanne, I’m sure at your current level of acquaintance with Judaism and with Scientology, you consider them compatible;  the problem lies in that your acquaintance with Scientology apparently does not include Hubbard’s description of the Implant Stations on Venus, by which all this God-talk is merely ‘R6’ fed to Body Thetans.
Thank you for making it clear that for an indoctrinated Scientologist, Tommy’s duck-and-weave act of 1) interrupt the evidence flow, 2) change topic, and 3) play victim was at least partly successful.

Come on folks, let’s get real. Nathan Baca’s story isn’t about religions good or bad.  It’s about Baca, a guy from a local media outlet trying to make a name for himself in the industry. If he was “investigative reporting” in the 1940’s he would have been interviewing Rabbis, showing them Nazi propaganda, and asking them to defend the allegations that Jews are “parasites” and a “danger to society.”  In the 50’s, he would have been talking to black politicians about “negro inferiority.” I’ve been in media industry for over 20 years and have met more than a few Bacas. Sadly, there are more journalists like him than not.

Hi Proton Soup.  Nope, I meant exactly what I said. It’s kind of like what you just did. The person being interviewed says it’s “apples” and then the reporter says, “Oh, what you really mean is “oranges.” In the media business, it’s because the reporter already has the story worked out before he does the interview. Remember that early on he has to pitch the idea and story angle to his editor or producer.  So whatever is said in the interview needs to be aligned to that angle, otherwise he has no story.

Rebecca: Of course Nathan Baca had the story worked out. A SMART person goes in controlling the situation and attempting to elicit the information they need. Only a crappy excuse for a journalist goes into an interview as part of an investigation and simply accepts what they’re told.
Bringing hard evidence of L Ron Hubbard’s Xenu story, researching TD’s past interviews, and his careful selection of questions? You bet he had an agenda: forcing this cult to come clean rather than simply repeating the issued byline like so many other media stooges.

Of course you’re in the media industry, you’re NOT in the NEWS industry.

Mob mentality has been the cause of all our Bloody problems on this planet, be it hangings, War, The inquition,Riots and revolutions , it is irrationality in Mass. Look at the problems the “Mass Think” causes.
To day that “Mass Think” (Mob Mentality)is propegated by the internet and the media. Is it any wonder thru out our past we have to have secret societies to preserve the truth the learnered have possessed. Are we going to force Scientology into being a Secret society Too?
The truth is the Masses cannot have the truth. It is written and put in the paper for all to see and it is a joke.
If all were fourth graders and trying to understand a Senior in High school what Trigonometry or Calculus was it just would never happen.
There are higher levels of understanding for man to grow to, taken out of context or displayed without more understandings it is just not going to make sense .
The Zenu story is such a story. One has to be an OT 111 before that incident is going to be real to an individual. It would be just Science fiction till a person is able to truly understand it. It is totally meaningless. Yet anyone truly attaining OT111 will attain what the promo tells you you will attain, which is FREEDOM FROM OVERWHELM. It is the basic Engram on one being Overwhelmed.

Imagine not being overwhelmed, which is a big reason people don’t complete projects. Well a Scientologist completing it will be able to finish any project he starts. He is more apt to be a success at life, No mystery. It is a good thing to a person wanting to succeeded at the game of life. It has to be your goal or it is meaningless.
Someone truly and honestly achieving the levels of Scientology knows that in order for a person to erase an “Engram”  (Basic Period of Pain and unconciousness, causing the source of ones problem) one has to contact or remember that incident at which point the Pain and amnesia of it blows. (That is the auditors job to help you do so. He has many years of training and can do so)
In other words if a person can tell you there problem and they still have the problem, then that is not the problem. When you can see the source of a problem, the problem erases. That is the basis of Dianetics and then Scientology which is dealing with your past lives.

It works as a trained technition (called an Auditor) knows how the mind works and with the aid of his E meter, (a tool he uses to guide one back to specific incidents in his Past)can locate for the individual his source of pain or his Preseent Time Problem. The only value of the guys past is for theraputic value.
In Scientology you discover your own past. When you have ran the pain out of them and can contact them personally they take on a different meaning, than just mearly reading about them. If you ever experience being in an incident of your past, it at that time will be very real to you. You won’t be able to make it real to anyone else that has not run the incident. But you will know with certainty. Scientology gives you certainty in yourself. One truly getting the gains doesn’t leave it.
So running this incident (one of thousands) that have happened over the period of a millenia of time, that you as a Spirit has experienced. Certain incidents stand out as everyone of us have been thru them . An auditor in Mexico , or the US or France makes no difference will come up the same incidents simular to us all an will be able to handle them standardly.

Does any Science fiction story effect you ? I doubt it. Handle the Pain in your mind for 1000’s and Millions of years ago or farther Back when we operated as a Spirit and then you will see that Science Fiction is just memories of some Science Fiction author with a vwery good memory.

Get back your full memory and then when an Auditor runs an incident on you and see what kind of results YOU have. Your concept of a past life will be very real. Now what if what I said was real? Well it can be.

Dianetics&Scientology;is just removing the pain out of ones mind. Amnesia is caused from painful incidents that one has experienced in living. Get rid of all the pain and you will know who you really are.
Man is just an insane Spiritual Being, with amnesia. Get back his own memory and he will know everything, no one needs to tell you. You will again be free as a Spirit, as you will know who you really are and your infinite Powers and abilities will return.

To Man that is Science fiction and the masses will make it out to be a joke and the masses will forever remain at the operating level of MAN. He is the one that is really losing. One can know that to be true. One really is a Spirit. When you know that; life will be a Game and you will be able to Be , DO or Have anything you want…
Well the religious Part of Scientology is that we are Spirits and we have memories of our past and that means our past lives. A person thru his religion should be entitled to there own beliefs. The Mass knocking of them is just not right. That has to be disguized as a religion, as a Belief or Man will never accept the truth. The truth to existence is far stranger than any Science fiction story you’ll ever read, I asure you.

Scientology is just a Science of the Mind that gets back all of your memory so you can know the truth. Man can get back all of his Spiritual powers and Abilities, Believe it or not.

You don’t have to Believe in Scientology as you will gradiently by gradiently know. It is done in Steps. Having a much higher understanding level Lessens our chance at destroying our selves. If man doesn’t change his Thinking, our Bloody Past will be our Bloody Future, for sure.

So go ahead and let our Mob mentality destroy Scientology and see who loses in the end… To me knowing Scientology for 35 years, it is our only hope. It isn’t some joke, it is very real and it works.

You have to be honest, some are not honest and so don’t make the gains. These days the tech is very standard.  Those not really making the grade and blaming Scientology, will not make the case gain.

Over the years the tech is very standard , very powerful and the Gains you can have will never be known unless you quit being one of the Masses and become an individual. You will then become a Scientologist. One who truely knows.

Dianetic research started in 1938 and LRH published the Dianetics Book in May of 1950. From whatI just read that you gave me to read, William Sargants Book “Battle for the Mind” was published in 1957.

LRH deals with You (the Spirit) which is what is looking at your mental image pictures. By Digging your attention from your past, YOU ( a Spirit) become more into present time. If your more here, in present time your more apt to not have accidents, You see your mental image pictures better, (improved memory) you’ll be more focused, more alert,  more able to duplicate, You’ll be able to see truth better, Your survival will be greatly enhanced, etc, In other words that is how Dianetics works.

Ever notice how out of P.T. people are at a funeral? Well we are all stuck in incidents of our past and we take it as normal, (People at different perceptions is just stuck in there past more or less,) till you have actually been brought into P.T. Go into Scientology and find out for your self what it is to be in P.T. then you’ll understand, why it is growing so fast. Hey it really does work. I promise.

From what I read of Sargant, which is just what you just gave me, he thinks your brain is what does the thinking. If you ever had an OBE (out of Body Experience)
You would know you don’t need the brain to think. The brain is only the Frequency Tunner for the Being and his body, It has an animal stimulous response , low level thinking ability. Ever see a really drunk degraded street person? He is almost animalistic isn’t he? Well he is operating off the brain. The Being is no where around his body. Higher intellect and awareness comes from Knowing who you are.

How do you get that Dianetics came from that? From what I read I see no connection. Please enlighten me.

If you do the HQS course in Scientology and get kicked out of your head, you would understand better what Scientology is all about. Don’t get your data from the masses or media, find out for yourself by looking for yourself. You will be glad you did, I promise you. Thanks for your response. One will be able to see the truths of existence when he is totally in P.T. An O.T. V111 is in P.T. He is cause over his mind. One who is cause over his mind will be cause over his life. No I Don’t Think Sargant copied Hubbards work. I think they were on to simular concepts. Dianetics and Scientology came from 50,000 years of Thinking men, he made a list of contributing Genius’s, Don’t recall if Sargant was one he mentioned, but probably was. Look in the Dianetics Book if your that interested.
Scientology in just 50 years has become one of the Major Religions, It has staffs of 1000’s of people.

Hubbard went on and discovered how to Free one from the Body and the Physical level. He has developed the technology to get Amnesia off ones case and Bring about the return of ones whole Track memory as a Spirit, returning Full Spiritual Powers and Abiities. Bringing Man back to his “Native State”, A spirit.

In other words You can now get back your Spiritual Memory and all the things you have learned thru the millenia of lifetimes you have lived as a Spiritual Being.

You don’t have to take it on faith as you personally gain the ability to recall for your self.

In other words if you played a piano in a Past life and you got your memory back, you regained the ability back to play the piano. Now if that was true, what is that Worth? LRH was a sci-fi author.  The religion he created is no more real than JRR Tolkiens Middle Earth or Lucas’s Star Wars movies.  The only difference is that he took advantage of all the semi-retarded people out there looking for purpose to their life because they’re too weak to find their own meaning.  Theyd rather give someone else money to spew rhetoric and tell them that the way to happiness is to learn all the teachings of scientology.  And as mentioned above, once you get there you realize how retarded you are and change your mind.  So I guess in a way you do reach a sort of enlightenment huh?
