Sneaky little bit of proslytizing you threw in there, with a somewhat transparent pre-text for that pro Jesus quote. Contrast Starr’s rock solid moral foundation with a wishy washy Jewish one you revealed in your recent “Gay Blessing” “Rabbi” Dorff interview, ya know the interview that proved how Judaism allows stealing, and you just presented another valid reason to convert from Judaism.
Brad you are too clever, by half. Like Madoff’s alleged modus operandi you must cackle about how your Jewish sounding name and position at JJ facilitates your little subterfuge ? But like you said, get 2 Jews together and you have three opinions. You exploit that fact very well.

I have seen it all. A graphic ad on the left hand side of this web page depicting two gross homosexual guys semi naked, one “snuggled” behind the other. It is for a homosexual dating site. So there you have it folks, come to the Jewish Journal to learn how the word Jew is soiled, how Judaism allows stealing, why Christianity is better, that Madoff will kill more Jews than Hitler,how its the “End of the Jews” coming from a “Macher”.
Ya know, someone that deliberately mixed the incense wrong in the holy temple faced execution under Jewish law.I thought that was rather draconian, but I now understand that such a deliberate act was spitting on Judaism. Here, spitting on Judaism, using the misleading name and appearance of a Jewish site, is really spitting on Judaism more than any Nazi web site, or other type of desecration,  can do.

Brad so far, you can cackle, you are winning. Is there a Jew in LA with a spine that can help put an end to the total disgrace known as the Jewish Journal ?  The Jewish Journal is to Judaism, as Bernie Madoff (allegedly) is to secure investments.

Sorry Martin, that battle has been lost. You would have to go after Tikkun, The Jewish Week and I don’t know how many others. But in today’s world, I don’t think anyone is being deceived. As an Orthodox fundamentalist Kahanist etc. I have been classed as an enemy of the Jewish Journal at times but if all I do is put people down by my terms and standards they don’t know what the hell I am talking about and I see that same happening to you.

All I can really do is present my view in a way that makes sense and is rooted in sources, and try to prevent it being blown off and misrepresented.

Web Guy, Spoken like a Bolshevick or Nazi “psychiatrist”, “medically” diagnosing and treating people that disagree with the State. Here in “Bloomfield”, we don’t make fun of people with disabilities, psychiatric or otherwise. Rather we attack Jew haters, and other nazi organizations, such as yours.

In the meantime, back to planet Earth, we are still left with the following:

1. A disgusting gay ad that I have captured and might publish on my Blog. That ad offends even Gay people.
2. And a disgusting Jew hating web site that posts garbage like “Madoff will kill more Jews than Hitler”
3. Madoff - End of the Jews
4. You can follow the Jewish laws and still be a thief
5. “The word “Jew” has been soiled”
6. Madoff makes the Jewish ethical claim look like a joke.
7. Proslytizing, as in the relevant article above.

Those were things published by your “Jewish” site weren’t they ? Most rational people, (google the word ‘rational’, if you don’t know what that means) have stopped paying attention to anything but the entertainment and dating content of your site. What remains are the Jew haters and the self hating Jews). I stumbled upon your garbage by accident because of a google search about Madoff.

Now can you pretend you are a mature adult with a brain and refute the points above ? Or maybe muster all the tolerance you can, and stop publishing so much garbage about my Jewish heritage ?

Once again Marty I feel your pain, but the Jewish Journal is not composed of Jew haters. Just work with me for a minute. Two can psychoanalyze.

They are people who are for the most part well-intentioned but so far removed from Jewish roots are more or less assimilated. This is why characterizing their intentions hits a brick wall.

As such, their attitudes about Jews and Judaism do not come from an internal positive pressure but from a stereotypical distorted Bizarro view they have internalized from the surrounding culture, and their Jewishness likewise reflects the surrounding culture back out. For Orthodoxy pure culture is a dispensable factor, for non-Orthodox the coolth factor/social acceptance is all. And the biggest obstacle to social and international acceptance is that full-bearded grandfather chained up in the basement, or in Brooklyn, or in Jerusalem. They think.

They are likewise proud Jews or they would not be associated with something called the Jewish Journal. That is why allegations of self-hatred hit a brick wall. There are real POJO (persons of Jewish Origin) self-haters but these people are not them.

But as per Point 1 above, they have been conditioned by knowledge of millennia of assault and its subliminal antisemitic background radiation to be ashamed of classical original Judaism so they are on a constant quest to find a moral high ground and find reasons to be proud. Old Judaism seems to bring antisemitism and why should we suffer? “Values, we got values! Don’t like those values - here, try these! Don’t worry, we got a million of ‘em. What’s your pleasure today; The tried and true civil rights? Radical feminism? Abortion? Just delivered fresh - Gay Marriage! If you don’t think too hard, or leave the thinking to the experts, all that Jewish stuff can be rationalized. “Hey, aren’t Jews supposed to be nice? Nice? I said nice!!! Well, it’s not nice to oppose xyz! A nice God wouldn’t do that. Or maybe the old God Beta wouldn’t do that but God V2.0 has had the bugs worked out. Or maybe there is no God but the point of Judaism is really about being nice.”

My father called these people ‘Ma-Yoffis-niks’. Did you ever catch Yosemite Sam shooting the at Bugs’ feet and commanding him to dance? Well, the Cossacks and peasnts amused themselves forcing Jews to dance to the tune of ‘Ma-Yoffis’. The problem is less with the peasants than with the Jews who tried to convince themslves they were having a good time.

So now the term Judaism means something different to different people. The Jewish Journal is not The Jewish Press in a different state. Once there were only Jews. The Jews became an -ism when that was cool. The word ‘Judaism’ then became the subject of a food fight with those who claimed it for some variant definition, involving abandoning the nationalist component or classical original Zionism in favor of disembodied spirituality. If anything that led to textbook Communism (no nationalism or ownership) rather than spirituality.

Some people oriented differently ditched the spirituality for nuts and bolts nationalism when that was cool. Once Zionist nationalism was a liberal cause, mainly because it was a victim of forced neglect for so long. The world tried to make it uncool but the Holocaust made them irrelevant. After the Six Day War is appeared that Israel no longer needed liberals to clasp it to their bosoms, and the the Jews of needy acceptance happy happily ditched Zionism in an attempt to distance themselves from the antisemitism it seemed to bring. They thought. You heard Olmert on 6/9/05 ““We are tired of fighting, we are tired of being courageous, we are tired of winning, we are tired of defeating our enemies, we want that we will be able to live in an entirely different environment of relations with our enemies.” Take me to your leader, shmuck.

So the spirituality without nationalism and the nationalism without spirituality experiments are now in ashes. A new integration of the two has taken place in the form of Religious Zionism, and it is of course under the desperate attack and demonization of both zombified failed movements. Oh my, the ‘settlers’ are haters, nazis, bigots.. To the right wing antisemites they are radicals, and to the left-wing antisemites they are reactionaries. This shows they are the right (correct) track. As I have shown it is beyond logic anymore. But… but… but… they don’t even hear it.
