My interview with author Michael Chabon

This was cool. God Blog readers know I enjoy the writings of Michael Chabon, and last month I got to interview him after the Celebration of Jewish Books at the American Jewish University. JTN put it on their Web site a few weeks ago, but we just got it up on YouTube for your embedded enjoyment.

I asked Chabon about his “frozen chosen” hit “The Yiddish Policemen’s Union,” about being called an anti-Semite and about being comfortable as a geek.

Being a geek in high school can be painful but after reaching the age of 35, being a geek can make one seem smarter and even sexier. I know I prefer the bookish type.

You are right about being a geek after 35. A lot of people really blossom at that age.

I’m a fan of Michael Chabon. He’s writings are really good and I can’t seem to put down his books once I start reading them and he’s also a good person. He’s true to himself and not at all pretentious.

Wow! You got to interview Michael Chabon! You’re really lucky. I love his books, especially Wonderboys.  It’s a must read!

The term geek gets thrown around a lot. I don’t mind when people call me geek nowadays. They’re just jealous. Great interview with Michael by the way.
