More toys: Legos from the Bible

Turns out there are more ways to customize your Legos besides turning them into Nazi soldiers and holy warriors. Jackass Letters sent me this link to The Brick Testament, a company that transforms your ordinary Legos into characters and stories from the Bible.

You can scroll through Jesus’ parables—check out the parable of the tortured debtor—or learn the Lego version of the Exodus. My favorite though are the characters from the Book of Job. That’s Job pictured at left, covered in boils and soars and being cursed by his wife.

great post.  puts a new spin on Torah study.  There actually may also be something here for Torah learning for kinesthetic learners.

Biblical scholars may debate who originally dotted the i’s and crossed the t’s, but it was Brenden Powell Smith who, at the command of God, illustrated and retold this collection of stories from the book of Genesis - using LEGOs. In his introduction to The Brick Testament, Smith recalls his conversation with God over a flaming burrito (that’s right) and how, like many of the heroes of the Genesis stories, God used the most unlikely person to tell these stories.
