Katy Perry’s father goes on anti-Semitic rant

Posted by Brad A. Greenberg

It’s no secret that Katy Perry grew up in the Christian Church and these days resides a ways from it. But you may not have known that her father, Keith Hudson, is still a preacher—a freelance evangelist affiliated with the non-denominational The Sanctuary in Huntington Beach.

And while out spreading the gospel, Hudson reportedly went on a bizarre—and very un-Christian—rant against Jews. Via Jezebel:

“You know how to make the Jew jealous? Have some money, honey. You go to LA and they own all the Rolex and diamond places. Walk down a part of LA where we live and it is so rich it smells. You ever smell rich? They are all Jews, hallelujah. Amen.”

I don’t even know what to say. Anti-Semitism aside, Hudson’s statement is pretty difficult to parse. And, no, I’ve never smelled rich.

More from Reuters and Hollywood Jew.

Lets calm down. There isn’t an antisemite behind every bush. We have our stereotypes that we perpetuate against evangelicals, that are downright rude, crude and disrespectful. Look at how one of our rabbi’s recently treated tim Tebow. OH but that type of bigotry is ok, Right ?But when our ox gets gored, Watch Out! Maybe we should be concerned about our own hypocrisy before we lash out at Perrys father !

With Jews like you, danno, we don’t need antisemites. How far does your head need to be up your bum before you can’t figure out that Kieth Hudson is crude, rude, disrespectful and antisemitic; all stereotpes aside. No wonder Katie Perry changed her last name. She probably had too grow up listening to ‘Dueling Banjos’. And the anti-Tebow rabbi can go join Hudson; I love Tim Tebow, and I wouldn’t mention where I think he is misguided unless he asked me.
