Remember President Obama’s speech last week in Egypt, the one in which he called on Muslims to work with the U.S. for peace and insisted that Mideast leaders stop trying to delegitimize Israel?

The American Jewish Committee received that speech “warmly,” and followed up with this paid for this full-page ad (PDF) in today’s Wall Street Journal. Surrounding the big bold letters that state “Not Everyone Wants Israel to Live in Peace” are the pictures of leaders of, clockwise from left, Muslim Brotherhood, Hezbollah, Hamas and Iran offering such pleasantries as “Israel is a cancerous tumor.”

In a commentary for CBS Radio, AJC major domo David Harris makes the same argument, that the primary obstacle to Arab-Israeli peace is the continued refusal by many Muslim countries and leaders to recognize the Jewish state.
