World’s oldest-living Holocaust survivor, who died yesterday, plays a beautiful piano

Alice Herz-Sommer was the world's oldest-living Holocaust survivor. She also was, apparently, the oldest-living pianist. Herz-Sommer died yesterday at a London hospital, and Steve Chawkins, one of my favorite LA Times feature writers of the past two years, had a wonderful celebration of Herz-Sommer's life. (Obituary feels like the wrong description.) Still, I found the above video, shot last year, more moving.
