Prank calling Sarah Palin

Posted by Brad A. Greenberg

This is reportedly a prank call from a Quebec comedy duo to Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin. I believe it’s legit: The woman sounds exactly like Palin, and not in that Tina Fey way. The laws in Canada must be different than in California, at least, because here you can’t record someone on the phone without their permission.

It appears the comedians got Palin on the phone by pretending to be French President Nicolas Sarkozy, which would explain why “Sarkozy” had been a hot political topic on Twitter.

Palin sounds much less than stately on this call.

Phantom Muchentuchen

Contrary to what a few friends told me, “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan” was lame as lame can be. There were a few funny jokes, but those overwhelmed by a bad story, too much geriatric sex and a pretty cheesy plan for peace in the Middle East.

The above commercial, though, promoting the table trimmings of Zohan’s Palestinian nemesis was excellent, if only because of its closing line.
