Nancy Pelosi gets pilloried at AJU

In lieu of the praise one might expect in a room full of women and the ceiling-smashing Nancy Pelosi, insults were hurled towards the stage.
“Traitor!” screamed one woman. “Liar!” shouted another. One man’s high-volume, breakneck rampage got him physically removed from the room. His diatribe, though nearly indecipherable, left Pelosi stone-faced but shaken.
Confronted by a surprising outburst of California’s politically liberal constituency, Pelosi, on a break from her post as the first woman Speaker of the House – the third highest office in the nation – landed at American Jewish University on Aug. 11 to promote her new book, “Know Your Power: A Message to America’s Daughters.” Faced with an acrimonious audience, one of Congress’s most outspoken critics of the Bush administration was lambasted for opposing impeachment proceedings against George W. Bush.
During a 90-minute Q&A with AJU’s president, Robert Wexler, nearly 400 people listened as Pelosi discussed her childhood, her unexpected rise to power and the need for more women in government. When Wexler pressed her on a question about Congress’s dismally low 9% approval rating, Pelosi defended herself and her colleagues. This prompted an irate audience member to accuse Pelosi of shirking her constitutional responsibility by not impeaching Bush for the deceptive reasoning that started the Iraq war.
Pelosi dismissed the outburst. “I have complete comfort with the frustration. I’m from the streets,” she said.
But when several other people rose from their seats in paroxysms of protest, Pelosi was forced onto the defensive.
“I take an oath of office to uphold the constitution of the United States. Don’t tell me I don’t do that,” she snapped. “Why don’t you go picket the Republicans in Congress that will not allow us to have a vote on the war?”
It was the puzzling part of the whole evening: why L.A. liberals have allowed themselves to be charmed by people like Karl Rove (who appeared a few months back) but were hostile to Nancy Pelosi, who purports to represent their interests.
By the time the crowd quieted down, Pelosi looked deflated.
“What else do you have for me?” she asked a bereft Wexler, who refused to confront her with the issue on everybody’s mind.
Despite her book’s message of empowerment to America’s women, Pelosi was pelted as if she were a harlot.

It shows the stupidity of the left (and I am on that side), to attack their own, and to be like whiny children whenever they don’t get what they want. As Pelosi said and as anyone with half a brain and eyes can see, Republicans up, down, and sideways have caused one mess after another, yet people come to whine to the Democratic leader. It is just moronic and beyond unfair. These people should be ashamed of themselves.
Yet Karl Rove they fall like naive little children when he feeds their egos with some half-truth, and this SOB gets treated with respect. Disgusting, absolutely disgusting

These pro-impeachment people are clueless. They don’t have any charges for Bush. He went to Congress before the invasion of Iraq and got Congressional approval. Are the Senate democrats going to impeach themselves after they impeach Bush?
Personalities over princpals and taking the cowardly position of holding others when not 100% perfect as a lessor being so you appear to be a higher being defines a coward. Only the courageous are able to rise above this.

And frankly, the Republicans HAVE caused much of the messes in the U.S.
In the last 40 years, we’ve had 26 years of Republican presidencies, and most recently, we had majority Republicans in the House and Senate, to boot—oddly, that’s when the country REALLY started to decline.
Count me as an ex-Republican who sees the light, and misses Barry Goldwater desperately.
What is moronic, or as I suspect with right-wingers, a purposefully case of completely off-base mind-reading, is “Enlightened’s” statement “Is that supposed to mean choose Decomrates because they are pefect? Yeah, right.”
I am not looking for a Messiah, I don’t expect perfection. Besides in pagan/Christian America, perfection means nice hair and teeth, and other external qualities, like say…uuuh… white skin. No I know and anyone not only with half a brain, but more significantly,...a heart knows that Democrats, in general, care. That is why Pelosi and others have to take the guff, because you are wasting your time and energy getting angry, complaining, or criticizing Republicans. They don’t give a damn! Well I have figured this out a long time ago and I’m hoping some others could smell the coffee and see the light, because frankly it is blatantly obvious.
I know it has been a while, but I was just noticing another completely twisted and 180 degree inversion of truth, or at least close to 180 degrees. What I am referring to (and again I will cut and paste it here) is: “taking the cowardly position of holding others when not 100% perfect as a lessor being so you appear to be a higher being defines a coward” I believe this so-called enlightened (LOL) person means, arrogant or self-righteous, but none of what “enlightened” described would be defined as coward except by a right-winger, who as usual twist or completely invert the objective truth. By the time the rest of us have picked our jaws off the ground and shook our heads to throw these inverted truths off, they’ve elected a George W. Bush or an Adolf Hitler (yes, Hitler was elected, in a democracy; kind of like Hamas’s election in Gaza) And no, liberals, I don’t think it is ignorance. I think most of these ____________ know exactly what they are doing. Why do they do what they do? Now that is a more interesting question to me.
As far as “appearing to be a higher being” compared to what I have seen and heard from the Republicans, going back to the impeachment of Bill Clinton, does not require much, to feel morally superior. These self-righteous hypocrites run for gov’t, saying ‘gov’t in and of itself is bad’, and then they prove it by screwing things up; yes, up, down, and sideways. Democrats, with few exceptions, if any, do not think, nor believe this way. Gov’t is as good or bad as the beliefs and attitudes of the people in it. The difference frankly between Republicans and Democrats is night and day.
Coward?!?! Hah! At least when you start your usual “name-calling”, at least try a name that has a grain of truth.

Nixon accepted, so-called Republican “corruption” (Iran contra, Iraq war) seems to be about protecting US national interests. Even the current agitation on the left over the torture memos does not suggest anyone gained from the lawyering or from the so-called torture, except perhaps the people of LA who possibly are still here owing to thwarted terrorism.
“Democratic “corruption”, on the other hand, seems usually to be about self-interest, as in money, power, etc (Clinton, Feinstein, Pelosi herself).
So, why IS the left so venal, self-righteous and vengeful?

vice directeur de CFA et j`ai demandé de changer ma semaine au CFA. Il
n`a rien fait, même il ne voulait pas de changer ma semaine au CFA.

habitait et à l’entreprise où j`ai travaillé (Saint Mihiel). Mon
patron Monsieur Gérard Morin a participé également dans ce « jeu malade
»,m`a critiqué la vie privé. Il insistait pour me demander quelles sont
mes préférences sexuelles, ce qu’j`ai fait avec cette fille de
l’école – et cela ne regarde pas le patron, il n’a pas droit de se
mêler de ma vie privée. Monsieur Morin a été – je suppose –
l’avocat de cette fille. Malgré que j`ait demandé à plusieurs reprises
de le laisser en paix, le patron et d’autres employés se sont moqués de
moi, m’ont persécuter, en empêchent me travail normal, ce qui m`a
conduit à la dépression nerveuse. Monsieur Morin a trouvé cette
situation très amusante, il s’amusait à me cacher les affaires en les
remplaçant par d’autres affaires pour ensuite rire et se moquer de moi
ou il simulait que il pleurer sans cesse. Le comportement d’un enfant
trop gâté et non de l’adulte raisonnable. Il simulait que il pleurer.
Tout cela a commencé en décembre 2008 et a duré jusqu’à la fin du
contrat.

j`étais harcele et embêter par les élèves, même j`étais menace, et
a duré jusqu’à la fin juin.

et tu ne parle plus sur cette affaire avec ton patron ».

Le jour suivant cette bagarre M. Malakson m`a accroché en menaçant «
...faites attentions parce que les Français se préparent déjà pour
m’attaquer, je leurs dis ce qu’il faut faire et ils les feront…. »
Et effectivement le jour même les élèves français de ma classe m’ont
attaqué. J`ai reçu les coups dans le visage et dans d’autres parties de
mon corps.

Mihiel, j`ai déménagé à Nancy. J`ai commancé travailler dans le
restaurant La Mignardise et j`ai pris l`appartement avec deux polonais M
Koralewski et M Fajfrowski. Tout a passé bien, même la première semaine
au CFA (j`ai changé la semaine).

polonais monsieur Piotr Terczyński et monsieur Michel Koralewski. Ils
m`attaquaient et propage les fausses accusations concernant moi et en plus
incite d’autres personnes à tourmenter et m` importuner. A l’école je
ne pouvais pas discuter normalement avec mes camarades parce que M.
Terczyński et M.Koralewski s’approchent chaque fois pour le blâmer dans
la présence des autres élèves. Je suis harcele sans cesse et embêter
par les élèves, même aussi menacer, toujours dans le CFA. M
Terczyński a entâché ma personne en écrivant sur internet en decembre
2009 ou janvier 2010 , sur la site ”Nasza Klasa”, réseau social
polonais et en informant les internautes que je devais faire attention à
la Justice car je pouvais être pedophile au vue des photos de mes nièces
que je transmettais sur la toile.
> M koralewski connait M Thiriet, cuisinier de mon
restaurant. Ma sœur a envoyé une lettre à M Terczyński, elle a écrit
que il doit arrêter autrement elle va signaler la Justice. Après mes
colocataires m`ont commencé embêter à l`appartement. M Thiriet
cuisinier dans mon restaurant m`a commencé menacer de frapper, il connait
M Koralewski et M Fajfrowski. Une semaine après il m`a frappé en donnant
deux coup de poing dans le nez et il m`a poussé violement et je suis
tombé en sol. Depuis, qu`il m`a frappé, je suis harcelé par M Thiriet de
menaces physique mais aussi morale sur mon lieu de travail. Il se monque de
tout ce qui peut me toucher, ma race, ma famille, me traite de tapette, de
pédophile ect. Il fait allusion régulièrement à mon travail en me
montrant le nombre de doigts m`évoquant le nombre de coups de poings que
j`ai déjà reçus de sa part. Même les autres personnes du restaurant
comme Mathieur, Josephine et Maud me narguent et l`accompagnent en me
montrant leurs doigts pour me provoquer. Mon patron ne voulait rien faire.
Je parlais quelques fois, mais chaqune fois il me dit que ça lui ne
regadre pas mes problemes avec le personnel.

sans effet. J`ai envoyé trois lettres et signaler directement à la
direction plusieurs fois ces faits, mais aussi sans effet.

obligé de démissioner, en considération de mauvaises conditions de
travail et que je suis harcelé par le personnel. J`ai signalé tout à la
direction du CFA. Je vous joins mon dossier.
She is on Face The Nation right now and she can’t answer one question directly. She is a perfect reminder to all of us just how incompetent our leadership are, and she and Rep Weiner are classic examples of politicians that are INCAPABLE of giving direct and honest answers. They all behave like they are in a courtroom somewhere and are using their slippery and slimy tactics to avoid answering questions and being candid. I hope they both get voted out. I know it’s wishful thinking, but what else can you do?
