Naomi Pfefferman Magid is the arts & entertainment editor of the Jewish Journal, where she’s spent the last quarter century interviewing everyone from Seth Rogen, Natalie Portman, James Franco and Robin Williams to celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz, artist Roy Lichtenstein and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner. Along the way, she’s also written entertainment stories for The Hollywood Reporter, The Chicago Tribune and American Cinematographer; picked up her share of Los Angeles Press Club awards for profiles of author Maurice Sendak and others; and co-authored a book on Godzilla as well as documentaries on the “Alien” movies for American Movie Classics with her genre-loving husband, Ron. She lives in Westwood with her husband, their son, two cats, assorted movie memorabilia and “Planet of the Apes” figures.
