NCAA Jews Playing Big Time Schools

Posted by Jeremy Fine

This week a few Jewish college ballers at smaller programs went up against a few ranked teams.

Monday night, Cornell’s Chris Wroblewski and Eitan Chemerinski lost to #24 ranked Illinois in a close one 64-60. Wroblewski started and scored 10 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and dished out 4 assists. While Chemerinski came off the bench to add 4 points and grab 4 rebounds.

Also, on Monday Jake Cohen and Davidson upset #12 Kansas 80-74, giving Kansas its third loss of the season. Junior Jake Cohen, dropped 12 points on the Jayhawks to help lead Davidson to their biggest win since its Steph Curry days.

Mean while on Tuesday Bryan Cohen faced #1 Syracuse, but couldn’t keep up with the Orangemen. Cohen started but was scoreless. He did have three assists and two boards in twenty minutes of play. Brandon Reese for the Orangemen played 2 minutes and grabbed a rebound.

In other action, Vermont beat Fairleigh Dickinson and Josh Elbaum played 10 minutes and added 2 points.

Looking forward to March Madness!

And Let Us Say…Amen.
