It’s hard to decide what seems more unlikely: Woody Allen playing a pimp, or Woody Allen starring in someone else’s film.
He’s one of the oldest heads of state in the world and the star of his own two-day conference. Celebrities from Bill Clinton to Sharon Stone lavish praises on him. He walks into a room and it erupts into applause. Israel’s Presidential Conference is, in part, a tribute to Israeli President Shimon Peres’ nearly 90 years, two-thirds of which he’s spent serving the State of Israel.
It’s unclear whether this guy is a fan of Sharon Stone or a fan of campy t-shirts. Either way, he had what was surely a surreal moment yesterday when, dressed in a “Basic Instinct” shirt, he bumped into Stone on the streets of Tel Aviv.
"It's a groundbreaking week," Howie Mandel said to some 1,000 guests at Jewish Television Network's annual benefit at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Nov. 5. "Just yesterday we elected a black man president, and tonight we're honoring a Jew in show business."
