Scandal-plagued Doheny Meats might change hands, again

For the second time in two weeks, the ownership of Doheny Glatt Kosher Meat Market might be changing hands.

Ever since March 24, when the Rabbinical Council of California (RCC) revoked Doheny Glatt Kosher Meat Market’s kosher certification, the nonprofit consortium of Orthodox rabbis has been trying to explain to kosher observant Jews in Los Angeles what went wrong, why they responded the way they did and what they’ll do differently in the future.

Bringing Tolerance to the World

French multimedia mogul Jean-Marie Messier will spearhead a five-year project to build a European Museum of Mutual Respect in Paris, modeled largely on the Simon Wiesenthal Center's Museum of Tolerance.

The chairman and CEO of Vivendi Universal announced plans for the museum while accepting the Wiesenthal Center's 2002 Humanitarian Award at its national tribute dinner May 2 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
