It is time for Israel and Turkey to remember their deep common history

I am a Turkish Muslim and every time I have a conversation with an Israeli friend, they keep asking me why the relations between Israel and Turkey have reached such a nadir, why Turkey seemingly has an antagonistic stance against Israel.

Fifteen high officials of the Nazi regime gathered Jan. 20, 1942, at a formerly Jewish-owned villa in Wannsee, on the outskirts of Berlin, for a meeting which lasted -- including three breaks for refreshments -- less than two hours.

Recreating ‘Conspiracy’

There were only 30 copies of the Wannsee Protocols, minutes of the top-secret meeting where Nazi leaders planned the Final Solution. Just one copy of the "heavily censored and sanitized document" survived the war, according to Dr. Michael Berenbaum, a Los Angeles-based scholar who frequently serves as a consultant on films about the Holocaust. No dialogue from the meeting was ever recorded.
