Why the Sunday Times of London’s cartoon IS anti-Semitic

Gerald Scarfe the British cartoonist who published the sketch of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu building a wall on the bodies of Palestinians and using their blood as cement, has denied that he is or ever was an anti-Semite. Scarfe said: "I am not, and never have been, anti-Semitic." Fair enough.

Will AIPAC and Bibi get their war?

These are strange times for those of us who follow the debate about a possible war with Iran. It is clear that the Israeli government and its neoconservative camp followers here in the United States are increasing pressure on President Obama to either attack Iran or let Israel do it (in which case we would be forced to join in). But the idea of another war in the Middle East is so outlandish that it seems inconceivable it could actually occur.

Netanyahu Woos L.A. Jews

Israel's former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was the guest at two Jewish functions in Los Angeles this week, on a schedule that included a closed dinner in Palm Springs and a number of private meetings. Netanyahu, who served as Israel's premier from 1996-1999, left for Denver on Tuesday, and was headed back to Israel this week.
