Madoff family changing name to ‘Morgan’ - Can you do better?

The Madoff family is looking for a name change and quite frankly, I don’t blame them. “Morgan” would be the new name, according to HuffingtonPost.com. But, my only issues is, where’s the Jew in Morgan?
If you’re a Jewish family and you’re forced to change your name, at least pick something that sounds Jewish. Morganstein. Morganowitz. Schwartz. Stein. Berg.
Anything but Morgan. They’re stripping themselves of their Jewish identity as they baptize their surname. I’m sure this community of online readers can do better and with that said…

“Madoff” isn’t a four-letter word, but it might as well be.
The daughter-in-law of the man who cemented the Madoff name in history alongside that of Mr. Ponzi is trying to shed the infamous moniker.
Stephanie Madoff, the wife of Madoff’s son Mark, has filed papers asking that her and her children’s last names be changed to Morgan in light of the fact that her father-in-law was “recently featured prominently in the news for defrauding numerous investors in his companies.”

Actually, “Morgan” is entirely appropriate. After all, J.P. Morgan was a business tycoon with shady origins and a huge nose.
I’m Jewish and I have the surname Santa Cruz—that’s right, “Holy Cross”. The point of changing your name is not to draw attention to Jewishness, even though it won’t help when the Spanish Inquisition comes knocking at your door…
How about “Dances With Crooks”
I was pleased to read your recent article expressing dismay at the choice of a non-Jewish choice for the Madoff family members. I come from a long line of Morgan’s on both sides of my mother’s family & I can assure you that they aren’t thrilled either. Why a name with Irish/Welsh origins? By the way, not all J.P. Morgan’s dealings were shady (he did some good as well) & his large nose was a medical condition.

What on earth is wrong with Madoff ?? - I could understand if their name was De’Ath or something sinister. It can only be their desire to distance themselves from their roots.
Strikes a personal note with me as I am a 15-year-old Jew whose immigrant grandparents changed their name to “Morgan” not wanting to be associated with immigrants (and, presumably, hoping they would face less antisemitism). I have considered changing my name back to the old family name when I get older but think I will respect my grandparents’ decision instead.
Thats what all these jews do ,hide.
Maybe jp morgan is a thieving jew too and changed its name.
use your own name jew
and take the mcdonalds off the restaurant
