Scott Smith and Jen Hirsh of MONOGEM

Last night I went to a really cool private music release party by MONOGEM, a very interesting up-and coming band fronted by the charming singer/songwriter Jen Hirsh.  The band is a collaboration between Jen and producer/songwriter Scott Smith.  Their new single “Wait and See” drops Tuesday.  Their sound is a playful combination of disco/pop/jazz and infectious dance sounds.  It’s amazing for a band that just formed last September, they are generating a lot of attention.  I predict good things from this talented bunch!  For more information about the band, visit monogem.com

It was held in a very cool spot near downtown LA, The Holding Company.  I had a bit of a struggle to find it, but it’s right there on Beverly and Robinson.  It’s a very sweet private exhibit/event/studio/gallery space.  They have a friendly staff there and it's a very comfortable, flexible space.  Visit theholdingco.net for more info.
