Political time-saver: This short post will save you reading many long stories

In the coming days, maybe weeks, you’ll hear many versions of this same question: Can Santorum win over Jewish voters? To save you the time and the trouble of reading all related stories here’s the answer: Yes, he can win over some voters – Santorum had some Jewish backers when he was running for the Senate and these backers will support him again today, both with their money and with their ballot. No, he can’t win over most Jewish voters. Besides, Jewish votes (and money) are not likely to count much in an Obama-Santorum race.

When Netanyahu visits Washington, a lot of ink will be wasted yet again on the will-he-won’t-he attack Iran question. Don’t waste the effort. Next week will not be the decision time yet.

It’s an election year, the Iran situation is at a very sensitive stage; you shouldn’t believe any of the official speakers (Netanyahu, Obama, Panetta) at the AIPAC conference next week. It’s not that they don’t want to tell you the truth – it’s just that they can’t.
