Tuesday, April 25 The show ain’t over till the Jewish lady sings. Tonight, Repertory Opera Company presents “Lucia Di Lammermoor.” The work by Donizetti is based on the tragic Sir Walter Scott story, “The Bride of Lammermoor,” about a woman promised by her brother to one man, while her true love is her brother’s sworn enemy. Wednesday, April 26 Loveable Kevin Pollack shows up for a special screening of “The Usual Suspects,” as part of the Aero Theatre’s “Lasting Impressions” series featuring screenings and conversations with moviemakers. Pollack costarred in “Suspects” with Kevin Spacey, Gabriel Byrne, Benicio Del Toro and Stephen Baldwin. Thursday, April 27 Head north to get your next Jewish film fest fix. On the Ventura County Film Festival agenda this year are screenings of four films with discussions to follow — perfect for those who haven’t yet caught these works on the big screen. Tonight’s opening film is “Everything Is Illuminated,” based on the Jonathan Safran Foer novel. Friday, April 28 Doogie Howser takes a serious turn in the Geffen Theater’s current production, as actor Neil Patrick Harris (known forever to us as “The Doog”), performs in the Arthur Miller drama, “All My Sons.” Written in 1947, the play centers on the theme of social responsibility, and remains topical today.
