She was calm and alert an hour before her death, requesting that she dress and put on lipstick to say goodbye to loved ones and asking friends such as Pearlman to help plan the bat mitzvah next year of her daughter, Eva.

She is survived by her husband, Sam Jason; son, Max; daughter, Eva; mother, Norma; and brothers, Benson and Daniel.

Elayne Epstein died June 30 at 81. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Dr. David) Stanton; son, David (Judith); and five grandchildren; and brother, Albert (Tamara) Cohodes. Malinow and Silverman

Ruth Mindling died June 27 at 90. She is survived by her daughter, Toni Schulman; and son, James. Malinow and Silverman

Blanche Shevitz died June 27 at 94. She is survived by her daughter, Ellyce (David) Whalen; son, Phillip (Margie); two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Marjorie Aleck. Malinow and Silverman
