Calendar listings should be submitted at least three weeks in advance. Be sure to require all relevant event information, including phone numbers. Keep in mind, The Jewish Journal receives many calendar listings and, due to space limitations, cannot list them all.

Letters should be no more than 200 words and must require a valid name, mailing address and phone number. Letters sent via e-mail must not contain attachments. Pseudonyms and initials will not be used, but names will be withheld on request. We reserve the right to edit all letters.

The Jewish Journal will publish obituary notices free of charge. Please send a card, letter or an email in accordance with the name, age and survivors of the deceased.

The Jewish Journal welcomes unsolicited manuscripts. Response time may take between 4-6 weeks due to the volume of submissions we receive. Submissions must require a name, mailing address and phone number. All e-mail submissions should be sent in the body of the message; unsolicited e-mail containing attachments will be deleted. The Jewish Journal rarely prints articles of more than 1,200 words. Manuscripts and other materials sent via standard mail should require a self-addressed, stamped envelope in order to be returned.
