1. What is TRIBE Media Corp.?
TRIBE Media Corp., formerly Los Angeles Jewish Publications, Inc., is a diversified media company focused on local, national, and global Jewish news, issues, and culture. It is not affiliated with any organization, ideology, or movement. TRIBE Media Corp. consists of The Jewish Journal of Greater Los Angeles; TRIBE Magazine; JewishJournal.com; EveryJew.com; and TribeLive! Events.

2. What is The Jewish Journal?
The Jewish Journal is the largest Jewish weekly newspaper in the United States outside of New York City. Founded in 1985, The Jewish Journal’s mission is to serve our community through quality independent journalism. The Jewish Journal is available at over 700 pickup locations from Santa Barbara to Pasadena to the South Bay.

3. What is JewishJournal.com?
JewishJournal.com is America’s most widely used Jewish news site. It contains local, national, and global news updated daily, as well as blogs from noted Jewish personalities and writers including Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, Jack Weiss, Dennis Prager, and the Jewish Journal’s Danielle Berrin.

4. What is TRIBE Magazine?
TRIBE is a new 4-color glossy magazine published monthly by TRIBE Media Corp. Launched in December 2009, TRIBE covers arts, society, philanthropy, and culture for the upscale West Valley Jewish audience. TRIBE is available at over 200 pickup locations ranging from Santa Barbara to the San Fernando Valley.

5. What is Everyjew.com?
EveryJew.com is the world’s best Jewish social networking site. Launched in August 2009, EveryJew.com features content from The Jewish Journal and JewishJournal.com, as well as user-generated content. EveryJew.com has over 2500 regularly posting members.

6. What is TribeLive! Events?
TribeLive! Events is a production company that creates unique programming for the greater Los Angeles Jewish community. In the past TribeLive! has produced debates, screenings, festivals, and concerts. TribeLive! has also partnered with other Jewish organizations to video and livestream their events.

7. Are you part of the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles?
No. The Jewish Journal was founded in 1985 by lay leaders of the Jewish community independently of any other Jewish organization. TRIBE Media Corp. has retained that independent status.

The Jewish Journal has a circulation of 50,000 copies and an estimated150,000 weekly readers; TRIBE Magazine, 20,000 copies and an estimated 80,000 monthly readers; JewishJournal.com, over 450,000 monthly unique visitors.

2. How can I subscribe to The Jewish Journal or TRIBE for home delivery?

3. There is a problem with my subscription. What do I do?

1. How do I place an item on your calendar?
You can do it online with our free, self-serve Jewish community calendar - the largest in L.A. Go to www.jewishjournal.com/calendar and enter the information yourself, or email our Calendar Editor at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). You can also fax or send the information to The Jewish Journal, Attn: Calendar.

2. I submitted a calendar listing and it hasn’t appeared. What’s going on?
Calendar items are listed for free on a space-available basis. They generally only run the week before the event being listed.

3. How do I list an obituary?
Please e-mail them to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Family members in our obituaries are only survivors of the deceased and obituaries will be edited for space. We do not charge for obituary listings. For additional questions, contact (213) 368-1661 ext 122.

4. I have an idea for an article. How do I submit it?
Send it to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Include all relevant information, especially dates and a contact phone number. The Jewish Journal does not reprint press releases.

5. I want to write a column/blog for you. How do I submit a proposal?
We accept First Person and Singles columns of 850 words. Send via e-mail to editor@jewishjournal.com. Due to the high volume of submissions, it may take up to 2-3 weeks for a response. The Jewish Journal does not print poetry or fiction. Any member of EveryJew.com can post a blog for free, but for posting on JewishJournal.com, please contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

6. Where can I submit a complaint?
