A poll showed that nearly half of likely voters believed the United States should use military force to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.
According to the poll, published this week in The Hill, a newspaper that specializes in Congress, 49 percent of respondents stated that the U.S. should use military force, while 31 percent said the U.S. should not use military force and 20 percent of respondents were unsure of a course of action.
In that same poll, 62 percent of likely voters indicated that they were “somewhat or very concerned” about Iran conducting a terrorist attack on the United States, while 37 percent indicated they were not really concerned.
Pulse Opinion Research surveyed 1,000 likely voters on Feb. 2. The poll had a margin of error of 3 percentage points.

How about someone doing a survey of Iranians on their feelings toward the US! Do any of these US survey respondents know enough about Iran to weigh in? The likelihood of Iran “conducting a terrorist attack on the United States” is extremely remote, as people who actually know a thing or two about Iran can tell you. This kind of survey is irresponsible and dangerous.

Laws and leaders are meant to protect us from tyranny of a near majority or a majority, as well as the lack of geopolitical sensibility of the masses.
The people should have a voice, but leaders must listen very closely to what people say and feel and deal with their concerns.
Polling like this can produce raw numbers that measure the something other than their intent.
I do hope any Americfan president has more rasw knowledge than we ordinary citizens. He/She is entrusted to take a different position than is popular if it can be clearly explained to the populace.
Anecdotes are the weapons of fascists and hysterics. They see only a tree, not the forest.
