Jewish support for the Republican Party has grown dramatically since 2008 nationwide, a new analysis of survey data out from the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press suggests.
The data found that the shift in the GOP direction has been more significant than among the general public.
The findings could point to trouble for the Democrats in the 2012 presidential election, where both parties are counting on strong showings among Florida’s Jewish voters in particular.

The only Jews moving to the GOP are the Orthodox, whose conservative, calcified and concretized views of the world do not admit of change or diversity.
Every other Jewish denomination remians solidly in the Democratic column.

I recognized this trend and the immensity of it through my own observations. Attending a synagog consisting of mostly Russian immigrants, I requently hear of their complaints of Obama’s “socialism”. It was only later that I regularly heard anti-obama comments from Jews of other backgrounds, for his supposed antiIsrael views to his socialistic tendencies. I don’t see him doing anything about this except going to a reform group meeting. I fear his defeat because I think the ccompetition is much worse. What a choice. Is this the best we can offer?
