Meeting Jews Is Easy

Hey, I’m Ryan. I’m a 23-year-old staff writer and calendar editor for the Jewish Journal. I earned a BA in community studies from UC Santa Cruz.

The name of my blog, while inspired by the title of the Radiohead DVD, “Meeting People is Easy,” has no other connection to it. My blog is community-oriented; I chat with folks and profile them. I encourage them to be funny and/or promote their work. I go to events that would otherwise not get coverage. Sometimes I write about myself.  This helps me make sense of the world.

When I proposed the idea to my editor, she said, “Like a guy on the street blog.” Exactly. I’ve always wanted to be a guy on the street.
