Last week we talked about being part of the Jewish community. This week you will find some kids who are doing it already. You will also find a great opportunity to participate yourself.
Calling All Young Artists
Nefesh B'Nefesh (www.nbn.org.il), the organization that has helped nearly 4,000 North American Jews move to Israel in recent years, announces a coast-to-coast competition for Jewish sixth- to eighth-graders. The winner will not only have his or her design – based on the theme of "Homeward Bound" – painted onto the organization's summer flights for newcomers, but will win a free trip to Israel this summer. Deadline for submissions is May 12, 2005 (Israel Independence Day) All Jewish sixth- to eighth-graders in the United States and Canada are eligible to compete.
