Giants and Grasshoppers

oses sends spies into the Land of Israel to scout it out and see if the land is as fertile and beautiful as God has promised. The spies come back with large clusters of grapes, but also with some scary news: the people who live in Israel, that is, the guys they're going to have to fight to get their land back, are as big as giants and make the Israelites look like grasshoppers. f course, that's a big exaggeration. But that is what we do when we get scared. The test is going to be "so hard," the mountain is going to be "too steep." Then we try and see there was nothing to be afraid of in the first place. So, in the words of that famous commercial: "Just do it!"

What's Bugging You?

Do you like termites? If you do, you'll love the 20-foot-tall termite coming to the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens June 22-24 from 11 a.m-4 p.m. Walk inside the inflatable termite to see what they eat (they especially love books and piano keys) and how they live as a community. For more information on the zoo, visit www.lazoo.org.
