Just Another Day

By Ilana Angel

January 14, 2015 | 6:00 pm

I woke up this morning with a smile on my face. The sun was shining in through my bedroom window, the cat was asleep by my head, and I could hear my son shuffling around his room. I... read on

  • Surgery Day

    By Ilana Angel

    January 12, 2015 | 1:51 am

I am having my thyroid removed this morning. From the time they found the mass to surgery is 8 days, which is a blessing because I haven’t had time to think about it. I was told I needed the surgery and not having it wasn’t an option, which is another blessing because I didn’t need... read on

  • Doctors, Angels & the C Word

    By Ilana Angel

    January 9, 2015 | 9:29 pm

I went back and forth trying to decide if I should share this story, and through a series of conversations this week I decided writing about it is the right thing to do. I have shared every aspect of my life and there is no point in stopping now. I am writing about this experience... read on

  • Happy Holidays

    By Ilana Angel

    December 25, 2014 | 9:40 am

I am taking a few days off from chronicling my life, to live my life. I look forward to catching up on sleep, hanging out with my son, seeing friends, reading, resting, and simply not working. I wish you all a happy and healthy holiday, whatever holiday it is you celebrate. Be safe, be happy, and be kind. I will be back on Sunday rested, probably hung over, and ready to count down to the end of 2014. Have a great weekend everyone. Don’t work too hard, enjoy the season, and keep the faith.

    By Ilana Angel

    December 15, 2014 | 7:50 am

I love Words With Friends. I play mostly against readers of my blog. They are, for the most part, wonderful people. I love when a new game starts and they tell me who they are as I may not recognize them from social media. It is great and they feel like they know me, which I take... read on

  • The Problem with Dry Bar - UPDATE

    By Ilana Angel

    December 12, 2014 | 8:38 am

I remember when Dry Bar opened in my neighborhood. I was thrilled to have the service, annoyed I didn’t think of the idea, and comforted that my Jewfro could be tamed anytime I wanted. I had every stylist do my hair until I found one who understood my locks and managed to take it... read on

  • Dating 101:  Bubbles Burst

    By Ilana Angel

    December 9, 2014 | 6:30 pm

I can think of something nice to say about every man I have dated. Not one date dated, but relationship dated. If they were all in a room together and you could see them in a group, you'd see they're handsome, charming, smart, accomplished, and funny men. Some more than others of... read on
