Jill has plenty to apologize for.  Take off your blinders and try to look at her as someone you don’t have a great fondness for and you’ll see her in a whole different light.  She’s a mean girl and a bully and while none of them is blameless, she has a lot more to answer for than you’ll admit.

I have to disagree with you.  Luanne was awful this season and if any of the housewives should go its Cindy (has no spine) Jill(the bully)and Kelly (weird).  During the reunion show the brunettes flock to JIll and say whatever Jill wants.  Ramona and Alex were this year’s “who gets more media than Jill” and therefore teased and picked on.I believe they’ve all been given their pink slips and therefore have nothing to lose.Hence, Alex became the brunettes Bethany for 2011.

Perhaps we have been watching different shows, but Jill Zarin is neither funny or truthful and calling someone both offcamera and to her face “a f*cking bitch” is way past outrageous. 

And the reason why LuAnn fails to cry on cue is because she lacks any sense of empathy beyond herself.  “Class”, or whatever passes for class in her world, is not telling another person to “shut up”.

Kelly clings to Jill and LuAnn since they have “defended” her stupidity over the last two seasons because there is strength in numbers when it comes to hating on the others.  Simple as that.  Or as simple as Kelly for more clarification.

Alex needs to go; no question that she and Cindy are rather uninteresting in their “acting” abilities and their storylines are boring particularly when you factor in Simon’s presence.

Ramona is just another version of Jill Zarin and Bethenny Frankel.  All mediawhores, all vying for first place, all eager and willing to attack and take down whoever threatens their relevance.  Seeing one is a reminder of all as they are mean, nasty, hateful, and vindictive and share an overinflated opinion of themselves without much merit attached.

This season was illustrative of how far this franchise will go in order to maintain viability.  It merely succeeded in determining that this cast has run its course and a plug needs to be pulled pronto for all involved.  Hopeless when a group of women agree to sit for 3 hours and expose their twisted psyches for the purpose of money and “stardom” at the expense of their integrity which was never on display in the first plac.

I totally disagree…I think that JILL is toxic. She is a mean spirited, back-stabbing, neurotic, pathetic, know-it-all..She isn’t society in NY and shouldn’t question Alex’s motives on the show..LuAnn is fake and Kelly is an empty headed mess who needs therapy. Cindy is irrelevant. Keep Ramona and Sonja, dump and replace the rest of the cast.

I find it convenient that I have hardly seen Jewish media weigh in on the Housewives (some people do, after all, have bigger things in their lives), yet suddenly the Jill-positive reviews are coming out of the woodwork. Hope Camp Zarin has compensated your obvious damage control sorry excuse for a review well.

I have liked most of the RHONY cast in the past, on and off. Until this year when I like nobody. The cast is mired in pettiness and bickering. I do not see joy or humor.  They need to start completely fresh.

Here’s why:  If Bravo keeps any of them, we will be in for another year of rehashing. Boring. The cast is stale – their stories/relationships are predictable. I think one of the reasons Bethenny (so last year) keeps getting brought up in everything from reunions, to blogs, to episodes, etc. is that there is not much new or interesting to say this season. Some praise her and some flog her, but I think the reason is the same – there is no new interesting material.

Replacing only Alex won’t change the competitive, repetitive behavior or bickering, much of which was not centered on Alex.  I would be glad to see the VK’s go, but their absence alone would not “fix” the show. It needs a fresh start to salvage the entertainment value and inject some life into it. One or 2 new people won’t be able to do it. Cindy and Jennifer might have been interesting, but they were quickly absorbed by the old rivalries, so it’s impossible to tell. We need to lose the current cast and the recycled insults, “liar” “bully” “fame whore” “crazy” “backstabber” “victim” etc ?  Yaaawn. A completely fresh start please!

I wish all of them well. 3-ish years is a long time to engage an audience without having good writers. They may not get the press anymore, but that’s probably a good thing for all concerned.

I think you’re a great writer and I enjoy many of the other blogs you write.  That being said, I wonder if you can ever be objective concerning Jill, LuAnn and Kelly.  Jill was worse on part 2 of the reunion than part 1. How can you honestly defend her behavior?  In your heart of hearts and soul want to be around her after watching her behavior?  You’re a great friend to her but quite frankly, I’d rather have a friend who was honest enough to tell me the truth.  You’ve clearly lost that ability. Bravo deliberately showed us just how terrible she was and she not only defended it but was completely unware of how badly she comes across. Jill called Alex a b****h on part one and then was concerned about children watching on part 2.  PLEASE!!! All the ladies have lost their sense of reality and Bravo put clips together of all of them behaving badly.  The only one who did not defend everything they did was Ramona.  She may drink, but she’s an honest drunk. Clearly defending this is not right or have you just lost your sense of right and wrong and fairness when it comes to these crazy, mean spirited women? Kelly is crazy!  She needs to talk to a therapist maybe twice a week until gets her self esteem back and then she won’t have to need a magazine to tell her she’s “nice”. LuAnn needs to wake up and realize that her association with Jill has become toxic.  Why carry on about having people in your video that you don’t like or want to be around?  It’s just to increase possible sales of the video. What happened to the charities she was promoting?  Now it’s just I’m a singer and I want to do videos.  LuAnn can’t sing and singing with Natalie Cole will not fool anyone.  Remember Vanilla Ice, save whatever money you make from your songs/video and come back from the darkside.  Bring back Ramona, Sonja, Alex with a real job and let’s all come back from the dark side, I mean the brunette side!

I wonder if you defend Jill in order to elicit a rise out of your followers.  You see something in this woman that escapes most of us.  She lies and does bad things to people.  I own this is no excuse for saying and doing these reprehensible things.  She lives in the shadow of her successful sister and perhaps your nurturing side responds to the inate sadness and desperation that is Jill Zarin.  Alex, her nude photos, modeling career, acting career, 3rd worst dressed list, oil field legacy and ghastly husband must go. The clawing efforts of these two losers are painful to watch. I am not in tune with your assessment of the countess Luman.  How can we as mothers watch her throw her children under the bus and wish her well. I wish Avery well as she summons up her capability to screw with her mother’s mind.

I disagree entirely, Ramona is great. She has no more of a drinking problem than Jill and why would Jill out Ramona? She should know better from her pr speech about it. Jill is toxic, alex is just trying to survive. Kelly speaks nonsense and Sonja is great. Luann is just rude and unclassy

This article is a piece of crap - are you sticking with Shrill because she is also Jewish? NONE of these women are worth watching anymore.
Kelly - Mentally unstable adult trapped in a 12-year mind and that is weird & creepy (the only words she seems to know).
Jill - Is mean and thinks she can say sorry and that absolves her. Count how many times she apologizes. It’s like the little boy that cries wolf. People don’t believe her.
LuAnn - hides behind a FAKE COURTESY title. Before she married the count, she was an LPN and her family owns a concrete company.
Ramona - Drunk and on amphetimines. Her head bobbing, licking her lips constantly, can’t sit still, rambling without filtering her thoughts and DEMANDING wine every where she goes is disturbing.
Sonja - Has to speak of her hanging out with Royality and famous people to make people believe she is high society due to who she was married to. She was a hostess in the restaurant biz. Nothing more, nothing less.
Alex - Had to “find her voice” in order to get more airtime. Her hubby is constantly on twitter and has his own blog - he thinks he is a housewife.
Cindy - Boring!
The only way this franchise will succeed is if the entire cast goes and new people come in. The ONLY thing these women cared about was selling their crap.

clearly, I didn’t watch the same show you did, except for the fact that I too, wound up with a headache and am still shaking my head in utter disbelief that anyone would engage in such bad behavior for any reason whatsoever. Alex is the only one with an ounce of integrity, graciousness and common sense. Her only problem is these other women and she needs to run! as fast as possible and never look back. The rest can be left to unload on one another. Who cares what happens at this point?

I started watching the reunion but had to turn it off because the atmosphere was just so toxic. These creatures confirm all the nasty stereotypes about women being back-biting gossips who are unable to support each other. The ugliness that emanates from each of them, with the possible exception of Sonja, is destructive. It makes me wonder just how low some people will sink for their 15 minutes of fame.

I don’t understand how you can have any sympathy for Jill or Luann. Jill is the prototypical mean girl; she can’t go two minutes without either cutting somebody down or telling them how to live their life. Luann, while beautiful, is a condescending twit who thinks she wrote the book on manners when, in reality, she has none. Nor does she have any class or she wouldn’t be shoveling trash on this show. I used to like Ramona and Alex, but no more. Both are painful to watch because they’re so dysfunctional.  While there’s something to be said about watching for the train wreck value, this whole enterprise has become too discomforting and disturbing to bear.

There is no other explanation for this blog, I’ve read her other blogs and I don’t think she is a terrible person, so she must be getting paid. Hey, we all gotta make a living.

Hi everyone.  To clarify, I don’t know Jill’s assistant and I am not friends with Jill.  I just think it is lame that people seem to hate her for doing the same things that they love Bethenny for doing. 

Truth be told, this show gives me a headache.  They all had their 15 minutes, enjoyed the ride, and they should all go.  If the choice is to keep them all or lose them all, then I say bye bye to the whole lot and we start fresh. 

They will never like each other and it will always seem fake so just start over.  One would think that NYC is the one city where recasting would not be an issue. 

At the end of the day who I like does not matter because even the ones I like have behaved badly, sucked the joy out of the show, and need to go.

Are you kidding?  Jill is why I don’t watch the show anymore.  Jill is so mad that Ramona and Alex remained friends with Bethenny and she didn’t, she can’t stand it.  She made Ramona and Alex pay for her lost relationship with Bethenny this entire season.  Jill is so jealous, its pathetic and she needs to go off the show.

If you cannot see how horrible it was to watch the gang mentality against Alex, you are definitely not paying attention. It was grossly unfair and the bully aspect was very apparent. LuAnn and Jill made a pact prior to the show to shut her down because she speaks with clarity and honest feelings. These women are a total mess. Luann is the worst. Her passive aggressive attitude and high faluting mannerisms mask a fragile ego that drunken demeanor. Ramona speaks the truth but trips over her tongue. I don’t sense a mean bone in her body. And Kelly is like a cult follower, doing whatever Jill and LuAnn tell her to do, including keeping the koolaid glass full. It is pathetic that these women don’t get off their high horses and come down to Reality. The real world does not exist as they portray it.

Jill=Ramona=Bethenny.  All one in the same.

Overrated, untalented famewhores with nasty tongues, mean spirits, vicious personas, dripping in jealousy at each other’s expense.  The others serve as nothing more than “props” for their overinflated egos that portray women in the worst possible light.

Ramona has no sense of humor at all.  Jill and Bethenny feed off mocking other people and I see no reason to applaud anyone of them. 

So sick of ungracious, inconsiderate, mean spirted women claiming to “own it” after they have delivered unnecessary body blows to another person in the spirit of “telling it like it is”.  As if that makes it okay to behave like a fishwife.

It is not honest or truthful to be vicious but instead a serious question concerning what makes them “tick” as people.

Jill is one of the nastiest women on reality TV.  She needs to be yanked out of this show.  There are more I don’t like, but having Jill out would make it a lot better.  A lot, lot, lot better.

Those of you who bought the Bravo line of Blonde vs. Brunette, and Lynn Hudson’s continued use of it in commentary, should be embarrassed.  Learn to think for yourself.

Those supporting Ramona:  Bravo deliberately gave Ramona a good edit for the reunion.  The interviews with the young girls was not discussed.  If anyone had gone after and made such cruel comments to her daughter Avery, Ramona would be screaming.

While some of you may not have the advantage of HDTV, Ramona’s wrinkled neck, flabby arms, and collection of adipose tissue in the mid-section screams the onset of menopause and potentially a drinking problem.

Ramona’s smooth face has nothing to do with still having her period. (Which is a strange claim to be making when in previous seasons she claimed it was due to her skin cream.)  Nope, the smooth face combined with a wrinkled neck and arms suggest something else all together.

What kind of mother puts her daughter on TV to make such outrageous claims.  Avery is most likely teased every day with her comments at the Silex dinner party.

During the season, Ramona slapped a producer from Shed Media.  Not shown.  During the previews, the scene of Ramona dressed in a Burka and making racist comments was edited from the season.

On the Today show and on the reunion show, Ramona’s big charity is Domestic Violence.  Go figure.

Ilana - I love your take on this!  I felt the same way watching this show; actually had to watch it over three different days!  As for the folks who comment: Don’t you realize they edit this show so that the viewers can choose their favorites and then side with them? Then they throw in scenes showing the worst possible behavior? I mean seriously, you people that hate Alex or love Alex - do they really think you know these women based on this one-hour view into their lives? Not even an hour, just a few minutes a week.  They purposely cast these women they know will be entertaining!  The more you say you “hate” one cast member, the more you write about it, the more you vote in the blondes vs. brunettes Polls, the better chance those cast members you hate will be on the show next year!  Close your eyes.  Its a TV SHOW. Open your eyes. Do you get it yet?

Alex—

Alex speaks clearly?  I don’t understand half of her arguments.  She can barely form a sentence.  Listen to the show without the moving pictures.

Not how I see it.  She pretends to be well educated.  She is a college drop out.  She pretends she is new to modeling.  She claims to have been modeling in Italy after she dropped out of college. So why is she so awkward?  Why is her posture so bad?

Her Imdb profile lists quite a few movies.  All of this Kelly bashing about telling Alex to stop being red becomes irrelevant.  Alex supposedly knows how to “act”; she should be in control of her emotions.  Of course it is uncomfortable to talk to someone who turns red and begins panting.  Control it Alex.  One would think posing for pictures naked for a photographer and her husband would be embarrassing.  She is completely at ease.  The turning red and panting is an act.  (Yes, I know fair skinned people blush easily.  Explain, then how so many fair skinned individuals are successful actors and business people who have learned to control that response.)  alex needs to stop trying to be pathetic.

Alex loves pulling the pathetic card.  Her and hubby Simon managed to buy a townhouse in Brooklyn and have a major rehab when Alex was out of work. Neither of them work a full time job today outside of RH.  They have money.  They are just “weird” and “creepy” and that is why they are not involved in NY society.

Alex is delusional.  She thinks her and Simon’s argument with Sonja about Simon speaking at the Marriage Equality March helped the cause.  Yeah, I bet that is what changed many NY state politicians minds about the issue.

As usual I agree with you 100%! I love Jill and thought she did a great job on the reunion. I thought Lu Ann did an outstanding job - total class. Kelly was funny. I think you did a great job of summing the whole season!

Sorry to disagree but Jill was only interesting when she had Betheney. Luanne is done, kelly cookoo is fried, Cindy brings nothing, Alex tries to hard &fails;, Ramona only has Pinot Grigio, Sonja is the only one worth keeping. Time to re-boot RHONY w/new & improved cast.

I’m with the majority of the folks who have responded.  Jill is a bully, a liar.  I, as a Jewish woman am embarrased by her.  Obviously, you’re the only one who has been fooled by her….or are you sticking up for her because she’s Jewish.
Luann is so full of herself and her worthless title.  She too has become a bully and yet when she’s confronted, she walks away.  Definitely can dish it out but can’t take it.  Oh and maybe she should spend more time with her daughter who has been kicked out of 4 schools and has been known to throw around the N word.
Raomona does belong in rehab…and maybe she should take Sonja with her.  But I do give Sonja credit for keeping her kid off the show.
Kelly a nut job who makes no sense.  Everything out of her mouth is gibberish.
Alex I give her credit for sticking up for herself and so she sticks up for her husband.  If you don’t understand that, I feel sorry for anyone involved with you.  Out of the whole cast, she has shown the most class and has not deserved most of Jill’s attacks.
Cindy, I just can’t comment.  I don’t feel that as a viewer, I got to know her.
Getting back to Jill, I know that she wrote a book about Jewish mothering. I didn’t read it but I had a wonderful Jewish mother, probably the best person that I will ever know.  My mom always said the most important thing we have is our health, after health the important thing is our reputation.  Well I hope at least Jill’s health is good!

Glad I’m not the only one who smelled something rotten after reading this. Either you’re bring paid by Jill, she’s a close friend, or you’re looking to get this article retweeted by her to increase traffic to this page. If it’s none of these, you need to be checked into a mental institution because you’re out of touch with reality. And I have NO DOUBT the two people who wrote comments that were pro-Jill are part of her team. She did this sort of crap with her amazon reviews of her book. I’d like to know when jill went to rehab, cause she got busted by ramona. That’s what you get for opening your mouth and pointing fingers at others.

Hi Ilana, I was brought up Catholic, in private schools, and I am tired of everyone claiming you like Jill because she is Jewish. Clearly I am not Jewish and I like her. I think I understand her actions and I don’t think she is mean spirited, just a little snarky. On the flip side, I can’t stand Ramona. I find her very vengeful and when someone says something she doesn’t like, she goes for the jugular. All the Bethenny fans out there don’t remember that Ramona was the one that pointed out Bethenny was monopolizing advertising space at Jill’s charity event in an earlier season and caused both Jill and Bethenny huge distress. Ramona was trying to make Bethenny look bad and upset Jill at the same time that night. I find Ramona very mean and she is constantly twisting it around. Good example is when she tried to say that her use of the word deformity was really meant to say blemish. In what dictionary Ramona? So it is not about religion or background, it is about how we identify with these women and agree, or disagree with what they do or say.  So would the conspiracy theorists out there let us all like, or dislike, the ones we want to, and stop accusing Ilana of prejudicial preferences based on anything other than her opinions that are formed by what she sees on TV every week. I’ll never meet any of these women but I’m on the brunette’s side.

Alex and her husband need to be taken off the air for using the c word.  As a woman and a feminist, I found it appalling the “c” word was used with such ease.  Interesting Alex found the b word offensive, but,  not the “c” word.

Sonja is the only housewife of all the franchises, all of them, who could get away with her antics ans still be adored. 

I hope she was heavily medicated. 

She should not be drinking with Ramona.  The whole “Frick and Frack” gimmick makes both of them look immature.  Not a good look for a woman looking for a man who can afford her—those men will choose one of the many women available who will not embarrass them.

Luann

She has ice water running through her veins.  She doesn’t care about her co-stars.  Luann is promoting the Countess.  Its too bad the “blondes” could not be honest with her.  They did not want to do her video because she refuses to support anyone else. 

Why she had kids is questionable since from the beginning she is comfortable having someone else raise them.

Cindy should just leave the show on her own.  Her reactions to what was going on, e..g. the highly scripted scenes with Sonja—breakfast and the flower shop, were priceless. 

She needs to keep her dignity and not lower herself to Sonja, Alex, or Ramona.

Kelly should also leave voluntarily otherwise she is going to end up looking like a basket case similar to Sonja, soon to be not only broke but very lonely.  Kelly has a life in Manhattan and the Hamptons that doesn’t revolve around the HW.

Jill is the one HW who has not changed since day one.  She is exactly the same.  She can be mean but she learned from a master, Bethenny. 

On the Season 3 reunion, Jill admitted that she asked the other women not to film with Bethenny.  Bethenny was appalled, as usual, until it was brought up that in Season 2, Bethenny asked all the women not to film with Kelly.  Bethenny could not call all of them liars and said she did because she did not want Kelly on the show.

For all of you who think Bethenny’s departure is what ruined the show, the ratings for RHONY were higher this season than the last season of Bethenny.  In addition, Bethenny ratings for BEA were as low as RHODC, that was cancelled and RHOMiami which was put together quickly.

Bethenny is nothing but a bitch and a bore.  Her next season is supposed to focus on her home remodeling project.  Considering she is unable to cook a Thanksgiving dinner or handle a simple birthday party that she planned, this next season should feature her freaking out, crying and screaming. And of course, her line of home decor. 

What a joke, since even she admitted to not being able to decorate a home.  Isn’t her mom an interior designer?  Could it be that her mother is called in?  Bethenny apologizes to her mother?  Wow, if that happened how many brains cells would begin imploding at Lynn Hudson’s site? (I also read a rumor on Huff Po that Bethenny and Jill have met and may become friends again.  That would take care of Lynn Hudson.)

I agree with you. The show has cancer, and has become a parody.  Why? Main cause is the INAUTHENTIC, WEB BULLY ALEX.  She has sucked the blood out of this show and killed it by pandering to the malignant hate site in Chicago.

To quote Ramona: Alex and Simon “don’t add anything to anything, they just like to show off and ride everyones coat tails”.  “Alex’s parties are boring” “they’re a buzz kill”.  That’s just a sampling of how Ramona has trashed Alex and Simon.  This was the REAL Ramona, before she also started pandering to the hate website in Chicago.

Alex attacked almost everyone this season for her air time.  I’m sick of her and bored. She needs to make her name on her own merits, and not by attacking stronger, better women. What a lowlife parasite.

I LOVED the real, genuine, imperfect, brunette women:  Jill, Luann, Kelly and Cindy—and couldn’t have stood watching it without these down to earth, crazy, real and imperfect but DECENT ladies.  Bravo to them, to standing up to the hate, those bullying slanderous haters.

Did Alex have a chin implant, or is it a fairy tale case of everytime she is a phony liar, her chin grows - like Pinnochio?  She has a huge artificial-looking shelf of a chin. No wonder Neil Patrick Harris (who did not know her name) called her Frankenstein-ish.

I agree 100% with your article.  I like Jill and thought Kelly was hilarious on the reunion.  Did I hear Alex say her gay husband owns a social media network? Hmmmm….. And she has all these supporters? Interesting. I cannot figure out how anyone can stand to look at or listen to that woman.  Using the “C” word! She’s disgusting!

Yes, Alex should come back as she is as sharp as a tack, pretty and has a happy family life.  Ramona and Sonya should come back, too.  So should Jill (what would we do w/out the psycho?)and Ramona (the back stabber but sometimes she’s kinda nice).  Kelly is REALLY TOO stupid to tell ANYONE anything or try to counsel anyone.  They will probably bring her back because she is attractive but she definitely IS NOT BRIGHT (although she thinks she’s brilliant)!!!  Cindy does not have much personality.  I’m conflicted about her.  My faves are the blondies!!!!

People, you have got to stop with the “I hate Jill venom.”  Get over yourselves!  All of these women speak badly behind each other’s back; hit below the belt; shamelessly hype their products and events; put too much emphasis on being with the rich and well connected; focus on the shallow instead of what is really important.  This is reality television and why we love to hate it.  Stop with the character assinations of one individual.  They all are guilty of everything you accuse Jill of.  She’s just better at it than the rest!  There is a queen of every Real Housewives group.  Jill is the Queen of NY, Nene is the Queen of ATL, Vicki is the Queen of Orange County, Camille is the Queen of Beverly Hills, and Teresa is the Queen of NJ.  All the rest are trying to take the crown from the Queen but never can quite do it.  Look how much time each group of women from each Real Housewives franchise spend talking about these ladies.  Look at how much energy we spend talking about these ladies.  I go back to the saying of “Don’t hate the playa; hate the game!”

I’m ashamed to say that I watched the first reunion show but am totally done now.  I see absolutely no similarity between Jill Zarin and Bethenny Frankel.  I think we all know people like Jill and try to steer as clear as possible.  She’s alternately fake-nice but ready to pounce and really hurt you if you don’t completely go along with her every desire. She does nothing without an ulterior motive.  I give Beth all the credit in the world for being able to get along with Zarin as long as long as she did.  No one is like Jill Zarin; she’s spectacularly and obviously jealous of anyone else’s success and smuggly satisfied and content when they fail.  She’s obviously always gotten what she really wants with this mode of behavior - frightening/intimidating or having people suck up to win her favor - but her character is writ very clearly for those of us who’ve watched the show from the beginning.

Why does Jill need defending?  She hasn’t committed a crime.  Although on other sites, many posters are trying to resurrect a second Dreyfus Affair, Jill has not done anything wrong. True, you may not like her, but because someone else does, doesn’t make them a racist (?) or an idiot.

If you go to the movies, let us say the new Harry Potter movie.  You love the movie, but while you are exiting the movie someone said it was boring and predictable.  Do you confront them and say they are idiots? 

Same analysis here.  This is just reality TV.  There will not be a nationwide controversy or war because some people like Jill and some people do not.  Get over yourself.

As someone who has watched the show since season one, I see Bethenny as a person whose every action has the goal of achieving some tangible benefit for Bethenny. Everything she does, is all about her. That is what I have seen on the show and that is how I’ve formed my opinion. And as a result, I don’t care for her. But I don’t hate anyone. Hating others is what turns you into a racist and an idiot.

But to be clear—my comment to Damita Jones was not about her name-calling a reality star “idiot” but calling Ilana a “racist and an idiot” because Ilana said something positive about Jill.

I never called that poster a name.  I was simply trying to encourage her to examine her motives for leaving such a mean-spirited comment.

I’m all in if a poster wants to call a particular reality star a name; goes with the territory.  These blogs, however, are for the open dissemination of opinions from the general audience.  Calling another poster or author a name simply because that person has a different opinion is antithetical to the purpose of the blog.

On that note, I am not sure your analogy to the SNL skit holds, although those were the best times of SNL.

i’m like you and agree, it’s all not worth it~~ to call names but it is worth a good chuckle or two, if someone does. the name calling makes me laugh, even when it is directed at ilana~she is a strong person, she can take it~most of the time. i’m not saying i’m into that but if ‘D.J.‘s’ biggest harm is less than a few words with name calling, well it is like a child with a quick hit and run. this person ‘D.J.’ has never commented before, didn’t put much thought into it and just threw a punch then disappeared.

I just want ot follow the logic of your comment.

“Considering the source of this article and where it is posted” :  Okay the source of the article is the show RHONY.  It is shown on Bravo.  This recap of that show is posted on Jewish Journal.  Recaps of this particular show can be found on Gawker, NYMag, Reality Tea and many other places.  The recaps generally have a slant towards the author’s point of view.  So what is the significance you see in the post being on Jewish Journal?  Why not just be honest and state your opinion outright?  What is it that you think you are hiding?

Then you finish the sentence with,“I see why Jill is still a legend in her own mind.”  Because of this one recap?  Preposterous. You should read more than one recap by this author on the same show before you make such a nonsensical statement that is not supported by the facts.

“Jill can dish it out 24/7 but just cannot take it.”  Use hyperbole much?  I’m sure she sleeps.

“Probably too late for her to grow out of this grammar school phase.”  Pot meet kettle.

Finally I find a place where to comment since Bravo never post my comments!

Ilana, I like your writing but I got left with an “Uhh?” that’s not what I watched!  Jill can’t help herself if her life depended on it!  Since Season 3 she has changed and not for the best!  LuAnn did a lot of Jill’s dirty job with plenty of digs with her pathetic condescending behavior. I have never been a Ramona or Alex fan but Kelly, Jill and Luann make me like them!  This cast should go quietly, if Bravo wants to have a Real Housewives of New York -really wealthy socialites! They need to recast, seriously!  Not this bad behaved grown women!  This Season 4 was unwatchable!  I had to change channel because I felt nauseous!  This cast can’t be friends and do another season together!

Wow—I agree with some of the posters that you must be watching a different show.  I don’t think only Kelly, Ramona, Cindy, and Alex should be removed—I think they all should go away and the sooner the better.  This entire cast of ladies is horrible and their behavior is simply appalling.  That grown (so called) upper class women should behave in a way that is so absolutely degrading to all women is disgusting.  I will never watch a single housewife show again if this cast is not replaced—because I am seriously starting to believe that these shows are damaging to women.

Luann is the furthest thing from a lady that I have ever seen!  She’s a condescending, arrogant, mean-girl bitch.  Jill is no better.  And Kelly—for a person who is interested in stopping bullying, just showed the entire world what real bullying is.

I saw that you “scored” an interview with the Luann so perhaps the glitter from being so close to a z-lister is clouding your judgment.  All these women are horrible—and to put any one above the other is ridiculous in my opinion.
