Seven female settlers arrested for price tag attacks

Seven female settlers were arrested on suspicion of price tag attacks in the West Bank.
The seven, six of them minors, were arrested Sunday by Israel police, who believe they vandalized an Israel Defense Forces encampment near the settlement of Shiloh and participated last summer in damaging Palestinian-owned olive trees, Haaretz reported. Two of the girls also are believed to have been involved in the sabotaging of IDF vehicles on a West Bank army base in September.
The Petach Tikvah Magistrate’s Court on Sunday ordered the seven to be held for two days. Police had requested five days for most of the accused and 10 days for the two accused of the extra offense.
Only one of the accused, Yaska Weiss, 19, of Kiryat Arba, has been identified. Weiss’ brother was killed in Jenin while serving in the 2002 IDF operation Defensive Shield, Haaretz reported.
