Settlers, police clash at outpost

Jewish settlers clashed with police at a West Bank outpost after police came to arrest a resident.

Tuesday night’s incident began when police arrived at the Givat Ronen outpost of the Shiloh settlement, located south of Nablus, to carry out an arrest warrant against one of the residents.

Other residents of the outpost, home to 25 families, reportedly began to throw stones at and slash the tires of the police cars, and to use pepper spray against the officers.
Nine settlers were arrested for using violence against police.

Outpost residents say the police used excessive force against them, including entering homes by force and throwing stun grenades.
