IAF strikes two Gaza targets as escalation in south continues

Around 55 rockets and mortars fired at Israel from Gaza since Wednesday morning; rocket directly hits home in Sdot Negev Regional Council.

The Israeli Air Force on Wednesday evening struck two targets in the northern Gaza Strip, in response to earlier rocket fire.

The two targets were terrorist bases, according to an IDF statement.

Earlier on Wednesday, a rocket fired from Gaza directly hit a home in the Sdot Negev Regional Council, one of around 55 rockets and mortars fired into Israel since the morning. Several people suffered from shock.

The Iron Dome anti-rocket system intercepted a rocket fired at Netivot on Wednesday.
