Flatbush yeshiva closed due to swine flu





JERUSALEM (JTA)—A Flatbush yeshiva has been closed after two students were diagnosed with swine flu.

A student in the high school and a student in the elementary school have come down with the disease, according to an email sent to the parents of students at the yeshiva.

The yeshiva, which is the main school for the Syrian community of Flatbush, will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday following the Memorial Day holiday weekend, according to the letter, circulated Friday.

Meanwhile, Israel announced its eighth confirmed case of the virus. The Israeli, 24, who recently returned from a visit to the United States, has been isolated in an Israeli hospital.
