Rahm Emmanuel and David Axelrod are NOT self hating Jews

The reported remarks by Netanyahu are disgusting. Unless you agree with the Likud party you are libeled as being anti-Israel and a self hating Jew. Rahm Emmanuel was a volunteer working in Israel during the first Gulf War and his kids attend a Jewish day school full time. Self hater? Not hardly.  Self haters don’t travel 12,000 miles roundtrip during a war to help a country they hate.  David Axelrod as well has long term ties with the Chicago Jewish community and is proud of his Jewish identity.

Obama called on Israel to halt the settlements which every American administration has called an obstacle to peace and not only is Obama called anti-Israel (and worse by the right wing in Israel and America) but every Jew working for him is now called a self hater. In a democracy people are allowed different opinions and disagreeing with a particular policy of the Israeli government does NOT make you anti-Israel or a self hater. Do Americans agree with every policy of our government? Have we not at times disagreed with Obama, Bush, Clinton, Carter, Ford, Reagan, etc. etc.?  Did this make us anti American?

Those who believe that Israel is always 100% right in everything it does are the ones who are harming Israel more than anyone else in the world. Unless you agree with Bibi Netanyahu you are a self hating Jew. Interesting opinion from a man who received only 27 votes out of the 120 member Knesset.  Netanyahu is bad for Israel.

Self hating jews?  I don’t think so but remember who their boss is and he’s the one that calls the shots.  Both Rahm and Axelrod
need to say “Yes Boss” and being jewish doesn’t help them.  If they don’t like what he says or stands for, they can quit. It’s as simple as that and if the boss says things they don’t like, its the same as their support.  Do I fault Netanyahu?  Nope.  And in addition, the various jewish groups that met with the president, are in the same position.  There’s a difference between an American jew and an Israeli jew.  One lives under the gun and the other tries to tell him to turn the other cheek.  The American jew needs needs to listen more and say less.

Sam, I agree with you 100% but I am very, very concerned about what is going on now and it reminds me of the dark days that proceeded the Rabin assassination.

In Israel a general who was tasked with removing the outposts had his life and that of his family threatened.  Jews who work for Obama are called self haters, anti-Israel, and anti-semites, and even Alan Dershowitz, who is one of the most avidly pro-Israel Americans was lambasted in the Jewish World Review because he supports Obama and a settlement freeze and even Dershowitz’s Jewishness and pro-Israel beliefs were questioned.  This reminds me of right after 911 when Bush and Cheney made people feel that “if you do not support us 100% then you support the terrorists that are out to destroy us.”

I read The Jerusalem Post and Haaretz every day and there are vehement anti-Obama postings continuing to falsely accuse him of being a Moslem and most of the postings accuse him of hating Israel and a good number accuse him of wanting to destroy Israel.  A columnist in todays Jerusalem Post calls Peace Now and J Street “extremist organizations.”  To the folks on the right if you support a settlement freeze and a two State solution then you are against Israel and your Jewishness is called into question, and I tell you that all of these things are very, very dangerous.  This attitude that you either agree 100% with us or you support the enemy should not be acceptable in the Jewish community.  People scoffed at the concerns when this was going on right before Rabin was assassinated and said it was a tiny minority but I can tell you from reading hundreds of letters posted on Israeli sites that these comments represent a huge majority of the postings.

I hope and pray that Jewish organizations and Rabbi’s in our communities come out against intolerance and especially against calling a fellow Jew a self hater or anti-semite because they may not agree with a particular position of the current Israeli government.  Enough good people did not come out publicly when poisonous remarks were being made about Rabin.  Slandering our fellow Jews who work for the President and/or Jewish Americans who don’t agree with the current government in Israel as self haters and anti Israel must be stopped.

Mark: You cant weep for all the jews.  People have their own opinions but it’s how they express them that really counts.
Don’t air dirty laundry and if you need to argue a point, keep it within the family.  The neighbors don’t have to know “Family” business.

Pres Obama does a pretty good job of soft shoeing.  It is hoped that he being the first black president might set an example for others to follow. For all that he is, he has a background that is far from being helpful to the jews.  Louis Farrankan and Rev Wright both preach jewish hatred.  It’s not his background that we worry about but the every day situation.  He needs to talk to former US Ambassador John Bolton who is pretty savvy with the UN and its members.
Rabbis in your community:  Seems a few of them from New Jersey deviated from tending their flock to lining someone’s pockets. So when you vote next, vote the individual and not the party.  Sometimes Liberals run good candidates.

Hate is a pretty strong word and tars everyone with a brush if you use the word in the context of ALL. You work for a boss, you do his bidding.  If there is malice intended then you are no better than your boss.  The jews in the Obama administration are just like lightening rods.  They bring the lightening onto themselves by maybe having to go overboard to prove that as jews they are impartial. I wouldn’t want their jobs.

To Sam Corwin: I cannot figure you out. I think that you a blend between the Einsatgruppen, and the Sonderkommando. Do you believe in “selecting” the Jew, or do you think that by doing the bosses bidding it’s OK to shove the Jes in the oven. You cannot have it both ways.

Starker: Do you think the Sonderkommando were happy in helping burn/gas their fellow jews?  They did it to save their asses and some did. Most didn’t but they lived longer than those they helped kill.  These two guys are not in that situation.  They have a choice to quit or to follow what their boss says.  You can’t figure me out? Don’t try. I say pretty much of how I think. I bark but seldom bite.

I totally agree with what you say.

I think “treasonous” as opposed to “self-hating” Jew applies. Then again I think Obama is one step above treason and I’m a left-wing Democrat.

Obama is a good speaker but lacks balls in his first year at the job.  I watch Fox News and see the Socialist with jewish names and I shudder.  They’re one step before communists.  The only difference is the Communist will shoot you for disagreeing and the Socialist will talk you to death.  Axelrod, Saul Alinsky, Rahm Emanuel.  There was a good jewish socialist.  His name was Samuel Gompers.  He didn’t try to destroy the country.  Axelrod and Rahm, lightening rods when Obama fails.  The jews will feel that backlash. These guys aren’t as bad as the guys with the black clothes and long beards that like to be seen with Achmadinajad.  They are “Treasonous”.

I reported that post, and am surprised it’s still there.
