    By Emily Stern

    April 6, 2014 | 3:54 pm

If we were to really know what we knew in Egypt,
    that's enlightenment: God is everything.
Pharoah's hardened heart was the work of God.
The bounty of the earth through plagues: God.
them and Us: the way the script goes.
The words Moses speaks: Divinity takes care of it, he... read on

it's simply excavation being inside light.

    oh, yes, that's right.

Open the drums, thank God for the upstroke- the release before
When we hear the vibration and lift the sticks

  • I Know What You Are Made Of

    By Emily Stern

    February 14, 2014 | 6:41 am

     Lyrics:

I know what you are made of:

lakes and simple sounds, good company

the dissapointed child as he sleeps

with open heart songs inside his sheets.

    Grandma used to knit.

    She made a pink blanket.

She told me what little girls are made of:

  • The Heart Shaped Ring

    By Emily Stern

    February 12, 2014 | 3:26 pm

    The ring came from

    A shop in New Mexico
    where A Christian

    midrshim I had never heard!

It was about Moses entering the Promised Land three days after he died. "You're Jewish?

So, you hate Palestinians. Don’t you hate them?”

To the shopkeeper in New Mexico,

    I just said no.

    Not at all.

but I bought the ring although it was too big saying, "You know how when it's warm, your hands grow?"
