Pen In The Sky

By Emily Stern

photo from ICR website

I'm fine with the image of a pen in the sky
as long as it's feathered, and
can chisel through stone.

Draw the truth in all of the world.
Get fancy and very straightforward.

Show us the lines
to break through the schmutz
reveal what's inside.
Reveal to us Your heartfelt design.

If your soul paints the world,
write our book of glowing streams
already here, already perfect, already whole.

Simply lift and return us again.
We’re ready to live in the daylight
of Grace, hand in hand. Yours always.

Scientists, ecologists, devotees, and spiritual healers are together at a summit, saying we need each other. The scientists want to know, "Is there a need for us in the spiritual world?" “Yes of course!  We don’t know what to do to be shepherds of this earth, and most of us know... read on

    Dearest Friends,

I have been reading about various water projects, and some of them are not working in the most sustainable way. i.e. installing plumbing! Please watch this video about water retention landscaping, and how it has been done in a community in Tamera, Portugal. It is so important.

It is totally natural, and brings entire ecosystems to life.

Put your fears up in the sky and let them be changed by the clouds. Let them be cleansed by the rain.

  • Drunken Ideals

    By Emily Stern

I went to a bar last week, a rare occurance. It was after a rehearsal for a play, and I sat on the rooftop of some hotel and ordered a drink.

This man sat next to me.

I remarked about peace, and how jewish prayer usually mentions peace. It occured to me that many people may not know that.  "OSEH SHALOM.." how high, central, and explicit of an ideal it is.

He said he really didn't know that.

People are saying that we’re wasting water,
But we would have an abundance of water
    If we weren’t wasting rain.

We don’t need to be importing it or exporting water anywhere because rain falls where it is meant to fall.

If we properly used water retention landscaping to absorb... read on

Be a prayer. Be a hopeful one. it's the only helpful one.

The blessing of waiting for the messiah is the lesson of hope.

Be an outlandish prayer for peace dispite what you think, or what people have told you, or the ideaology of those around you because THERE IS GOOD NEWS! It... read on
