ZOA to recognize Glenn Beck

The Zionist Organization of America will honor Glenn Beck as a “defender of Israel.”

Beck on Sunday will receive the Dr. Miriam & Sheldon Adelson Defender of Israel Award, presented by Adelson, the casino magnate who is a major backer of the ZOA and other pro-Israel and conservative causes.

Beck, a talk show provocateur, has immersed himself in right-wing pro-Israel politics over the last year, headlining Christians United for Israel’s annual Washington summit and convening a rally in Jerusalem.

He also has stirred controversy by intimating, absent evidence, that liberal financier and Holocaust survivor George Soros collaborated with Nazis; likening Reform rabbis to Islamist extremists; and likening a range of political opponents to Nazis, fascists and communists.

Also to be honored at the dinner is Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.), the chairwoman of the U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee.

I am ASTONISHED! Glenn Beck USES Israel, and he gets an AWARD??? How utterly VILE! The man is nearly a NAZI! It is way BEYONF BELIEF! WAKE UP TO REALITY!! I am nauseated, and infuriated! Besides the fact the man is a racist, he is INSANE! Giving an award to racist megalomaniac with paranoid tendancies? Now I wonder who the REAL insane people are! Did he PAY for the award? This is a SLAP in the face of people who TRULY LOVE ISRAEL! I am now in mourning! That man, Adelson, who owns the casinos has NO RIGHT to give an award on behalf of Israel! It is just an insult! I hope people tell Adelson that they are offended by this! Adelson, is a SELL OUT! BECK IS A CROOK AND A RACIST, NOT A DEFENDER!

A mock radio jingle for a species of fish formerly known as the “jewfish”. The jingle contains the lyrics, “Close your eyes and try to picture a great big friendly jewfish — That is, unless you’re Jewish. Oh yeah, and that reminds us: Jewfish get real stinky of you leave them in the car.”

I certainly hope there will be picketing outside the award program! I am going to send my written outrage to Adelson! I hope others will do the same!
