“Thresholds: The Scandals of 1912-13”

Jacaranda Music: Thresholds: The Scandals of 1912-13

Jacaranda’s Feb. 23 concert, “Thresholds: The Scandals of 1912-13,” will tell the story of the most concentrated period of innovation in music history. 4handsLA, the piano duo of Danny Holt and Steven Vanhauwaert, will perform the first published version of Stravinsky’s “The Rite of Spring.” Per the composer’s wishes, Schoenberg’s “Pierrot Lunaire” will be performed in English by mezzo-soprano Julia Migenes, star of both concert and opera stage. The radical chamber music of Alban Berg and Anton Webern will complete the evening.

I've recently become close with Abe and Frank, two older guys in my neighborhood. At 90 and 88 respectively, they’re not the typical age of my other friends.
