Recipients of the European Medal of Honour-Prize for Tolerance 2007, SheshBesh embodies two cultures living together in harmony. It is comprised of three members of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra alongside four of the finest musicians from Israel’s Arab community. They perform traditional Oriental material alongside Western classical works by Bach, Mozart and Haydn; ancient melodies from Moorish Spain and Lebanon; and original compositions by both Jewish and Arab composers. On a deeper level, the ensemble’s onstage presence and repertoire are a living metaphor for people striving to coexist in peace.
Don’t miss this unique multicultural concert, and support Israel by purchasing an Israel Bond. Followed by a reception and Israeli buffet in the courtyard.
Space is limited. RSVP for tickets essential.
