Pranayama Breath Work

Pranayama Breath Work

This FREE class is intended to help improve the lives of those with cancer and their families.

Pranayama, simply stated, is the ‘Yoga of breath’.  Through the practice of Pranayama, we learn to still the mind through breath control and attain deeper awareness of the body and mind. By mindfully focusing on the breath, one is able to: 1) release tension of the day-to-day struggles and dwell in peace, and; 2) increase oxygen exchange—two key ingredients to physical healing!

50 Plus
New Old Friends

I've recently become close with Abe and Frank, two older guys in my neighborhood. At 90 and 88 respectively, they’re not the typical age of my other friends. At first I wasn’t sure if it was friendship. Maybe they were just humoring me or passing the time. Why would old people want to be friends with me, a 35-year-old?
