OperaWorks presents “ARIAS IN MOTION”

OperaWorks presents “ARIAS IN MOTION”

Each year OperaWorks creates “Arias in Motion”, a Dance/Opera. This original performance piece allows both performers and audience to connect to these classical works through bodies in motion, dramatic text, and the human voice. If you are an old hand at opera then you will appreciate the way old favorites are transformed by a new context. If you are new to the scene, this is a great introduction to a genre that’s often hard to understand for the uninitiated.

Maurice Godin - stage director

Eric Sedgwick - music director

50 Plus
New Old Friends

I've recently become close with Abe and Frank, two older guys in my neighborhood. At 90 and 88 respectively, they’re not the typical age of my other friends. At first I wasn’t sure if it was friendship. Maybe they were just humoring me or passing the time. Why would old people want to be friends with me, a 35-year-old?
