Marian Wright Edelman Speaks at Stephen S. Wise

Whether you have been a supporter of our Stephen S. Wise Temple CDF Freedom School in the past or are just learning about it now, we hope you can attend this special evening with Marian Wright Edelman, a renowned Civil Rights Activist and Founder of the Children’s Defense Fund (CDF). She worked with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and in 2000, received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian award.

New Old Friends

I've recently become close with Abe and Frank, two older guys in my neighborhood. At 90 and 88 respectively, they’re not the typical age of my other friends. At first I wasn’t sure if it was friendship. Maybe they were just humoring me or passing the time. Why would old people want to be friends with me, a 35-year-old?
