Description

The exhibition on display through Dec.14, brings together for the first time photos, personal stories and artifacts from Shanghai’s Jewish Refugee Museum that tell the story of how some 18,000 Jews fleeing Nazi-occupied Europe found refuge in Shanghai.  Former “Shanghailanders” now living in Southern California also loaned memorabilia. An academic conference, “Cosmopolitan Shanghai” runs from 1lam to 4 pm and the Exhibit Opening Celebration begins at 4:30 pm.
